The 5 Best Vacation Package Sites

4258766415

Vacation package sites enable customers to book some combination of flights, hotels, and rental cars together as part of a single trip itinerary. Some companies only allow flight and hotel bundles, but others give you the chance to mix and match the different options as you see fit. When choosing the best vacation package site, the first and most important consideration is what type of travel package you need. Then, it’s a good idea to look into what kinds of savings are available for booking your entire trip itinerary together in one place. Some companies give discounts of over 40% to customers who do this. And, of course, you should also check out what kinds of search tools the site offers to speed up the booking process. The five companies listed below are some of the best in terms of their vacation packages and offer deals on all types of travel itineraries.

  • Expedia
  • Travelocity
  • CheapTickets
  • Last Minute Travel
  • Hotwire

Expedia offers discounts to customers who book their travel arrangements together in a package, which helps make rates a little more affordable. This is particularly true if you’re booking a flight, hotel, and rental car together. Like Last Minute Travel, Expedia presents all the crucial information about the trip itinerary on one page for easy viewing. Elements of a particular vacation package can be changed as needed to suit you. Using the filter tools to narrow your search is a good way to save time while searching, and you can also view the available hotels on a map. This tool is helpful if it’s important to you to stay in a particular area. Deal seekers also have the opportunity to view their results by total savings. Taxes and service fees are included in the total trip cost listed, so you don’t have to worry about setting aside any extra money. Then, all that’s left to do is review your selected itinerary and enter in your payment information.
Like Expedia, Travelocity gives big discounts to customers who bundle their travel arrangements into one package. When you purchase a hotel, flight, and rental car together, that can earn you as much as a 45% savings off your total trip costs. Travelocity also takes the approach of listing all of the important information about your travel arrangements on a single results page for easy viewing. Browse through the list or use the filters to speed up the process. Your first step is to find the hotel you want. Then, check out the flight and rental cars associated with that package. If you don’t like what you see, choose a different one. You’ll be brought to a list with all the flights or rental cars that fit your search criteria and you can then add one of these to your trip itinerary. When selecting a flight, you have even more options because Travelocity allows you to choose your departing and returning flights separately.
CheapTickets uses a different process than the companies mentioned above to help you locate the best vacation package, even when you use sites like enjoymexico.net/rentals/cabo-san-lucas/casa-la-laguna/ to do it. Rather than presenting you options upfront and requiring you to change those that don’t work, you’re first given a list of hotels to choose from. All the usual hotel filtering tools are there, so you can narrow down your results by what’s most important to you. You’re also able to view all the available hotels on a map. Then, once you’ve selected the hotel you want, you’ll be brought to the next page where you can choose your flight or a rental car if you’ve selected a hotel+rental car search. Then, the whole process starts over. For flights, you’re able to narrow results by cost and departure and arrival times, as well as specific airlines. During the checkout process, you can also add on certain extras like event tickets. Finally, book everything together for one flat rate.
Last Minute Travel earns the title as one of the best vacation package site because they offer a very streamlined booking process and the option to easily customize your travel itinerary. First, start off by deciding what type of travel accommodations you need. Choose from any combination of flights, hotels, and rental cars. Enter your travel dates and Last Minute Travel gathers all the results that fit your search criteria. Narrow it down even further using price, location, and other filters. All the information you need is presented on one page, so you don’t need to click into each individual result to get all the details. Everything from the hotel room type to the operating hours of the rental car facility are listed right on the main results page. As with all vacation packages, you select the hotel first, then you can change the flight and rental car associated with that package if you need to. Last Minute Travel also enables you to compare several different vacation packages side by side, which should help to save time when it comes to finding the one that best matches your budget and schedule.

Hotwire is another travel package site that follows the method of presenting your entire trip itinerary on one page for you to customize. The available search and filter tools are similar to the ones found with the other companies mentioned on this list. You’re able to narrow results down by price, location, hotel class, and more. The first step is to find a hotel that offers what you’re looking for. Then, check out the flights and/or rental cars associated with that particular hotel. If one or both of them doesn’t work well with your trip itinerary, you’re able to easily change them. Click on the unwanted item and you’re brought to a list with all the other possible options that match your trip dates and other search criteria. From there, all that’s left is to review your travel arrangements on the next page. It’s here where you choose your hotel room type and you’re able to quickly return and make any adjustments to your trip before entering your payment information and completing the booking process.

Maldives Tops Favourite List for Chinese Tourists

she3442re-164079-Private Dining

Maldives has topped a list of 20 island destinations most favoured by Chinese tourists, who have been the world’s No 1 cross-border visitors for the past three years, spending billions of dollars on outbound tours.

Honeymoon Couple in maldives Chris & Venessa

The announcement was made at the 2015 International Islands Tourism Conference in east China’s Zhejiang Province.

Taiwan, Bali, and Thailand’s Phuket Island have also been favoured by Chinese tourists in the list, which was created after a poll by the conference’s organisation committee and after evaluation by an expert panel.

The poll began in June, drawing more than three million responses for more than 70 destinations. The poll was conducted via the committee’s website, and some other portals and microblog services.

Chinese islands filled five spots on the list, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

China has been the world’s No 1 source of cross-border tourists since 2012, according to the World Tourism Organisation. In 2013, the organization said, Chinese outbound travelers spent a total of USD 129 billion.

China’s outbound tourists made nearly 24 million trips to islands in 2014, and the number is likely to exceed 30 million this year.

China’s outbound tourism has grown dramatically in recent months despite its economy economy contacted sharply. The World Bank recently revised its projections for China’s economic growth from 7.1 per cent to 6.9 per cent.

The conference, which was held in Zhujiajian Island of Zhoushan City, was organized by China’s National Tourism Administration and the provincial government of Zhejiang province.

MALE’, MALDIVES, 11 July 2011-As humans reach 7 billion, UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, highlights the critical role population play in shaping our future.

Growing population, declining fertility, rising mobility and a changing age structure pose profound challenges to Maldives, but also opportunities.

The population has more than doubled since 1977. The population projection for 2025 stands at over 400,000 without expatriates. Today, for every 3 Maldivian there is 1 foreigner. The population of Maldives will continue to grow, the largest-ever generation of young people are entering their reproductive years. The 15 to 24 year olds account for 1/4 of the population.   To meet the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities, Maldives needs to invest in today’s young people.

The number of male expatriates in the Maldives are 55,787, while female expatriates numbers 7850.

This marks the first time expatriates were included in the census.

Census statistics show that the population of capital Malé until last year was at 153,904, of which the local population was 129,381 and the expatriates numbered 24,523.

Maldives with its fine white sandy beaches has been awarded as the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination in the 2015 World Travel Awards which was held at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare.

Maldives is renowned for its white beaches all throughout the country. No beach is any shade darker than the colour we call “white”. Most of the beaches of these uniquely formed islands are fine sand beaches though you might come across coral pieces washed on the shore. This should come as no surprise as the Maldive islands are built on coral beds and have delicate eco-systems and a fragile environment.

The beaches of the Maldives have powdery white sand and clear turquoise lagoons and this fact brings many visitors to these beaches. Maldives is a one island one resort destination. One island is one resort.

Maldives consists of 1,192 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, along the north-south direction, spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometers, making this one of the worlds most dispersed countries.

Maldives is the lowest country in the world, with maximum and average natural ground levels of only 2.4 meters and 1.5 meters above sea level, respectively.

The enchanting beauty of these Maldivian beaches will always be a memorable experience. Tan, frolic and run under the sunny blue skies during the day and take a relaxing walk or have your party under the full moon sky. The white sandy beaches of the Maldives are breathtaking under the full moon sky. It is romantic, ethereal, silvery and full of enchantment. The different layers of the beaches of Fuvahmulah are awe-inspiring and just another story. Fuvahmulah lies right across the equator and is the only one island one atoll existing in the Maldives.

There may be wider and longer beaches all over the world but you cannot beat the Maldives for its fineness of the sand, the clear color of white, the privacy and access from your accommodation on any resort island. The Maldives beaches are the perfect choice for your tropical holiday.

These over-water retreats have been designed by the award-winning design company P49 DEESIGN, that has injected new life into the Signature Water Villas. Blending contemporary design with the surrounding natural beauty of the island, these villas allow ocean lovers to take a few steps from their own balcony, into the welcoming crystal clear waters below.

The romantic hideaways will feature couples rain showers, beautifully designed loveseats, and overhanging ‘love nests’ which float on the lagoon, in addition to the resorts existing ‘sleep tight’ beds which have made their way into the Nectar mattress review recently, worth a look if you have back pain and are wondering how comfortable you will be.

Following the revamp of the new water villas in LUX* South Ari Atoll, the newest and latest resort by the brand, LUX* North Male’ Atoll will be opening within the second half of 2016. This new, ultra-luxury resort is located less than an hour away from Male’ airport by speedboat, and will include a spectacular range of private villas.

Romantic Couple Silhoute Maldives,

Honeymooners and couples looking for romance have long heard the call of the Maldives, a beautiful tropical island nation in the Indian Ocean southwest of Sri Lanka. Why? Because it has all the luxury a loved-up pair could dream of, from lavish resorts to empty stretches of white-sand beach, tropical blue waters and an unmatchable sunny disposition.

The Maldives is an idyllic honeymoon-haven of sun-drenched islands – a whopping 1,190 islands in total, although only 200 are inhabited. The islands of The Maldives are so incredibly beautiful that you’ll immediately get the feeling you’ve stumbled upon secluded paradise.

Romantic Couple Silhoute Maldives,

Celebrities have sung the praises of The Maldives – Fergie (of The Black Eyed Peas) announced that she ‘finally knew what the word paradise means,’ after she and her husband spent their honeymoon there. Wills and Kate even chose The Maldives as one of their romantic getaways, staying at one of the incredible luxury resorts which have helped The Maldives secure a top place as one of the world’s ultimate romantic getaways.

Romantic Couple Silhoute Maldives,

What makes the Maldives even more special than a lot of other island destinations and in particular a romantic couples’ holiday paradise? Besides the incredible natural scenery, both above and below the water, there is a huge array of luxurious overwater villas and five-star resorts that put guests right amongst these stunning surrounds. There are even resorts that cater for couples only! While you will feel as though you are one of the lucky few who get to experience such seductive and remote luxury, the resorts are easily accessed (no stress for you on your Maldives romantic holiday!) and arrange transfers from the main island of Male – the closer islands are usually reached by launch, the outer islands may require a seaplane service.

If it is absolute high-end luxury you are looking for, The Maldives will not disappoint. From overwater bungalows to residences built in the middle of the lagoon, or villas hidden amongst the foliage, just metres back from your own private stretch of beach, there is a great range of idyllic escapes available to couples on honeymoon or enjoying a special holiday together. Robinson Crusoe never had it so good! Private and romantic, if your budget stretches, do stretch to some of The Maldives higher-end luxury accommodation options if possible, you won’t regret it and the resort’s style, location and service could very well be the difference between an amazing holiday and the most incredible holiday you’ve ever taken. Out of the inhabited islands, 105 are designated resort areas, so you have an amazing variety of gorgeous resorts to choose from, and no doubt will find something to suit your tastes and budget if you can’t justify going over the top and booking one of the very top-end luxury resorts there.

Imagine yourself and your loved one strolling down the above-sea boardwalk to your luxury Maldives bungalow that comes complete with a sunbathing deck, or even its own plunge pool (some even come with butler service!). While away the days as you both sink into each other and the beautiful views of the ocean that seem to go forever – not to mention the beach and island vistas all around you.

While The Maldives is remote, that doesn’t mean there isn’t gourmet food for you and your loved one to enjoy during your stay. Savour a meal and a velvety drop of wine at your resort’s restaurant with a view, or indulge in a candlelit beachside dinner. There is even an underwater restaurant at Conrad Hilton where guests get to enjoy contemporary European cuisine 5 metres below sea level! Many resorts are able to arrange romantic dinners on the beach or offshore sand banks. Some even offer sailing trips where you can be dropped off at a sandbank in the middle of the ocean and treated to a sensational gourmet dinner for just the two of you. Très romantic!

Feel like getting out and about? Plunge into the warm crystalline waters that The Maldives are so famous for and swim and snorkel while discovering an abundance of colourful fish darting below the surface – or head even further into the depths with a diving expedition! The Maldives is one of the world’s top diving destinations and perfect for the many couples who share a passion of diving holidays. The bright marine creatures and coral landscapes are sure to leave a lasting impression. Don’t forget to make the most of the tranquil waters around you by embarking upon a romantic sunset boat trip, allowing you and your partner to take in the breathtaking colours of paradise’s sky.

Couples will also love the spa experiences the Maldives offers, with some of the world’s best resort spas found here. Home to some of the most luxurious spas in the world, honeymooners in particular will love the indulgent, romantic spa options available to them in The Maldives – think outdoor treatments in the forest or on the beach with an ocean outlook, or even on a private island easily accessed from the resort. Benefit from the traditional healing methods of the Maldivian people and enjoy the rejuvenating effects of coconut oil in massages and body treatments.

If you are eager to get a taste of local culture on your Maldivian honeymoon or romantic getaway, you can head to a village. You’ll fall in love with the sleepy island way of life. Join in on a game of cards with the locals or take in the action at a busy fishing port.

When you’re ready to get back to nature you can complete an excursion to a deserted island where you will have endless stretches of sand to yourselves, a perfect way to while away an afternoon on your couples’ retreat.

Go on, take your honeymoon or romantic getaway in the Maldives for an experience to remember.

Celebrate Love In The Maldives Dreamy Honeymoon

Featured-Image-Snorkelling-in-Bora-Bora-e1431015836840-2000×1333

The Maldives are tiny tropical dots of land in the vast Indian Ocean, with beaches and palm trees rising just feet above the waves and relying on rings of vibrant coral reefs for protection. Of more than a thousand islands barely one in ten is inhabited, and among these are some of the most secluded and spectacular resorts on the planet, exotic hideaways where your honeymoon suite is just as likely to be over the water as on
the beach.

Settled by migrant fishermen and long supported by the sea, the Maldives merge land and water in a harmony richly expressed at the Huvafen Fushi Maldives resort, where spa treatment rooms go underwater and bungalows have glass floors to reveal the teeming life on the reefs below—even the resort’s hot tub hovers above the gentle waves. Remoteness is no signal for depravation, however—the resort also has the Maldives’ best-stocked wine cellar and several gourmet dining options to explore. Diversions range from reef diving to seaplane tours.

Resort in: Kani (Maldives). A paradise island for divers in the Maldives, with a magnificent lagoon. Family all inclusive resort and exclusive last minute vacation deals with Club Med.

All-inclusive takes on higher meaning at the Constance
Moofushi resort, where the signature Cristal package invites frequent toasts with fine wines and French champagne. Each end of this private island is strung with overwater guest villas, and activities include deep-water fishing, cruises aboard a traditional dhoni boat, and visits to the local fishing village of Himandoo.

Ever imagined dining inside an aquarium? That’s the experience you’ll get at the Sea.Fire. Salt.Sky. restaurant complex at the Anantara Kihavah Villas resort. Take a cooking class together to learn how to make traditional Maldivian huni havaadhu curry, try your hand at windsurfing in the lagoon, or hide away in comfort at a resort where every room is either over the water, has its own private pool, or opens onto a spectacular infinity-edge pool reaching out toward the endless ocean. Treatment rooms at the Anantara spa are located at the end of a jetty and open to the sea on all sides for an unforgettable experience.

With just forty-eight villas scattered across a private island, the Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru offers plenty of romantic seclusion for newlyweds, who can also indulge in the ultimate private dining experience: a gourmet meal for two on a wave-kissed sandbar, delivered via speedboat. Or, cap days spent on the beach or beneath the waves with champagne and canapés in a dhoni, and stargazing at the Naiboli Bar.

The Shangri-La Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives is home, somewhat remarkably, to a golf course—and the resort’s unique amenities don’t stop there. Located on a lushly forested atoll, the Shangri-La offers plenty of distractions you won’t find in other Maldives destinations, like nature hikes and bike tours, tennis and the Eco Centre where you can learn about local conservation efforts. In addition, there are some gorgeous overwater villas and CHI, a spa located in its own private village.

From the international airport in Malé it’s just fifteen minutes by luxury speedboat to the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives, where sixty-four villas are arrayed on a large lagoon and guests are lavished with Taj’s legendary personalized service, including your own private butler. Couples can take their meals in the privacy of their villa or in a variety of mind-blowing romantic settings, including an exclusive ocean pavilion set amid the calm waters of the lagoon.

The Taj is just far enough away to feel isolated, yet the proximity to Malé offers the opportunity to explore the ancient capital of the Maldives with its vibrant fish and produce markets and the 400-year-old Hukuru Miskiiy mosque, built from local coral and famed for its lacquer work and carvings.
