Dancing With The Stars pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are getting closer and closer to their big day, and the two have finally shared that they have a few details of their upcoming nuptials already planned.
The couple, who are currently preparing to compete against each other on Dancing With the Stars season 27, are also preparing for their wedding. Initially, the couple told Us Weekly that they had hardly anything planned, but it seems that the two have started to pull together some details.
“No, I think we have a day, and I have my dress,” she said. “That’s about it. It’s stressful, though. Weddings are a lot!”
As stressful as wedding planning is, the couple says they’re just trying to enjoy the process. “It’s a blast,” Chmerkovskiy told Us.
“It’s such a fun chapter of our lives together, and I feel like we’re growing with one another, and I love that we’re back together doing the show,” Johnson added. “This the first time that we’re going head-to-head together … He gives me lots of inspiration, and I’m so grateful to have him by my side through all of this. I think I could go crazy without him during the season.”
And as any bride and groom knows, the budget can get tight while trying to create an inclusive guest list. Sadly, the couple says that their probably not going to be able to have all of their family and friends attend the big day. “I’m just calling friends and telling them that they’re not getting invited and that it’s not personal … trying to decrease the budget for this wedding as much as possible,” the groom-to-be joked. “All jokes aside, obviously, some of my friends will be invited.”
The couple got engaged in mid-June this year, while on a romantic vacation to Venice, Italy. Johnson posted a sweet picture of the two to her Instagram at the time, with a caption that read, “I knew the moment I met you, you were the man of my dreams and I wanted to be with you forever. Babychka Мой любовь thank you for making my fairytale come true today! Cannot believe I get to call you my FIANCÉ!!!! #engaged.”
