La La Land Director Damien Chazelle and Olivia Hamilton Are Married

no thumb

La La Land director Damien Chazelle is officially off the market.

The Critics Choice Award winner married longtime girlfriend Olivia Hamilton over the weekend, Us Weekly reports. The wedding took place at Malibu’s Point Dume on Saturday, the same spot where the couple were engaged last year. They announced their engagement in October 2017, by way of a selfie that showed off Hamilton’s unique wrap-around ring from Monique Pean and an adorable kiss between the two.

While there aren’t many photos of their wedding on social media (yet), some of the couple’s friends have already taken to Instagram to share a special tribute to the newlyweds. “Last night’s union of love was one you feel lucky to witness once in your lifetime, congrats to the most amazing bride and groom ❤️ 💫🌟💫,” wrote one attendee. “Celebrating the love of two wonderful magical beings,” shared actress Nana Ghana, who was also in attendance. Based on the photos, it looks like the couple was blessed with perfect weather for their big day.

Chazelle and Hamilton met on the set of La La Land, in which she had a minor role. While accepting his Critics Choice Award for the film, Chazelle took the opportunity to give a shoutout to his future wife. “This is a film about love, I think, more than anything,” he said. “So I have to thank the love of my life, Olivia Hamilton.”

For her part, Hamilton also publicly showed some love, congratulating her husband-to-be on his success via Instagram. “Congratulations to @lalaland on the critics choice wins. Incredible. So so so unbelievably proud of the film and this man,” she wrote at the time.

While it’s unclear whether Ryan Gosling or Emma Stone were in attendance for the couple’s big day, we’re willing to bet that the party was absolutely La La lit.

Meghan Markle Flawlessly Played Net Ball With Prince Harry While Wearing High Heels

no thumb

Looks like Meghan Markle can now add “playing sports in stilettos” to the list of skills she’s picked up as a royal.

On Monday, she and Prince Harry visited Britain’s Loughborough University where they met with honorees from a program called Coach Core, which works to inspire the next generation of athletes and train them to become coaches, People reports. The couple hung out in the university gym, where they took part in a pickup game of net ball.

Dressed in a navy Oscar de la Renta blouse, black Altuzarra trousers, and a pair of high-heeled boots, Meghan held her own in a team drill. Somehow, she made it look effortless, despite the fact that she wasn’t wearing the proper gym-class attire. After the game was over, Prince Harry adorably pulled her in for an impromptu hug.

According to People, Coach Core was started by the Royal Foundation (which is led by Harry, Meghan, Prince William, and Kate Middleton after the London Olympics. The organization was recently awarded the $1.3 million National Lottery grant from Sport England and will add 10 new sites across England in the next three years.

Playing sports with the public has proven to be an important duty for this generation of royals. In the seven years since becoming a royal herself, Kate Middleton has been spotted taking part in everything from a cricket match in India to a volleyball game in East London. Like Meghan, she tends to eschew sneakers for heels on such occasions and pulls off the whole thing flawlessly.

While heels aren’t technically a wardrobe requirement for the royal women, there is one footwear rule they are expected to follow for official engagements: They must always wear closed-toe shoes. “Open-toed shoes are considered informal footwear,” etiquette expert William Hanson told Harper’s Bazaar, “and inappropriate for formal occasions.”

Hailey Baldwin Calls Her Engagement to Justin Bieber an “OMG Moment”

no thumb

If Hailey Baldwin’s engagement to Justin Bieber made you say “OMG,” you aren’t the only one. Apparently, the supermodel had the exact same reaction herself.

“My entire summer has been quite adventurous in life in general,” she told The Coveteur in an interview for her partnership with bareMinerals. “I’ve been traveling all over. For me, being adventurous is flying by the seat of my pants, which isn’t something I’m normally comfortable with, but I’ve been doing it for the last few months. Just traveling, and it’s so fun to be able to pick up and do things.”

Then, she continued by bringing up the obvious “adventurous” moment of her summer: “Well, I got engaged! I think that’s probably the biggest OMG moment of the year for me, of my life. So that’s probably top.”

Baldwin and Bieber may or may not have gotten married last week—they were spotted leaving the New York City Marriage Bureau, where marriage licenses are issued, shortly after the interview with The Coveteur—but Hailey took to Twitter in a now-deleted post to dispel the rumors. Whether they’re married in the eyes of the law or not, it seems likely that a formal celebration with family and friends is still to come.

On the same day of her rumored courthouse wedding, Baldwin spilled some details about the upcoming nuptials. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” she said, noting that she’s considering a West Coast location for the big day. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”

Though Baldwin was surprised at the proposal, once she received the OMG-worthy ring, she was apparently more than ready to make her way down the aisle. “My sister was 24 when she got married, and my parents also got married when they were young, too,” she said. “I see no reason to wait. When you know it’s right, it’s right.”

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter Reveal They Are Expecting on the 2018 Emmys Red Carpet

no thumb

Looks like an acting nomination isn’t the only thing Benedict Cumberbatch is celebrating at the Emmy Awards 2018!

While walking the red carpet on Monday, the Patrick Melrose star and his wife, Sophie Hunter, revealed that they are expecting their third child together, E! News reports.

Hunter wore a sunshine-yellow turtleneck dress that showed off her growing stomach, and Cumberbatch looked suave as ever in a classic black tuxedo. Both husband and wife wore sunglasses on the carpet, and looked every bit the part of cool mom and dad.

The couple already has two children together, one-year-old Hal Auden Cumberbatch and three-year-old Christopher “Kit” Carlton Cumberbatch. They were married on Valentine’s Day 2015, while Hunter was pregnant with Kit. When asked at the time how he felt about breaking the hearts of Sherlock fans everywhere with his marriage, he adorably responded, “Fine, in the sense that I’ve made one person’s heart—the most important person in my life—very happy.” Swoon…

Cumberbatch is nominated at the 2018 Emmys for the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role in Showtime’s Patrick Melrose. Cumberbatch’s next role, it seems, will be “dad of three,” and we’re willing to bet he deserves just as many awards for that as he does for his acting.

Hilary Duff Sparks Engagement Rumors by Showing Off New Gold Ring in Selfie

no thumb

Looks like Hilary Duff is complementing her baby bump with a brand-new piece of bling.

The Younger star sparked engagement rumors on Wednesday when she posted a selfie to Instagram showing off a ring on *that* finger (you know the one).

“This vintagey looking sparkly number from @foxandbond has me smiling today,” she wrote alongside the photo of her face in her hand. The California-based jewelry posted the same shot to their account, writing, “Did you guys see this 👑 @hilaryduff, rocking her F&B Diamond Starburst Ring? We’re so in love 😍 #foxandbondjewelry.”

The ring (which we scoped out on Fox and Bond’s website for a closer look), was modeled after antique Victorian jewelry and features a thick 14-karat gold band with five inlaid diamonds. The diamonds are surrounded by delicate, star-shaped engravings, hence the “starburst” name. Though Duff is rocking the yellow gold version, the piece also comes in white and rose gold, and all three styles retail for $1,535.

Duff has been dating Matthew Koma since the end of 2016, and the couple is expecting their first child together. The actress also has a six-year-old sun, Luca Cruz, with ex-husband Mike Comrie, who she was married to from 2010 to 2016. She announced her pregnancy to fans in June with a sweet Instagram photo, so it wouldn’t be terribly surprising for her to share the news of her engagement in the same way. “Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited!!!!!” she captioned an adorable photo of her and Koma. Koma shared the same photo, writing, “We made a baby girl! She will be just as beautiful and sweet as her mother … @hilaryduff another incredible chapter begins.”

Whether or not that next chapter does, in fact, include marriage, it’s clear that Hilary Duff has got a gorgeous piece of jewelry to celebrate it with.

Blake Lively Celebrates Wedding Anniversary to Ryan Reynolds With a Public NSFW Joke

no thumb

After six years of marriage, Blake Lively is just as smitten with Ryan Reynolds as ever, and she’s not afraid to show it off on Instagram.

Over the weekend, just in time for their sixth anniversary on September 9, Reynolds posted a photo to Instagram of a massive new advertisement for his gin company, Aviation Gin. The ad features his face super-sized and plastered onto the side of a truck, and it seems that Blake is a big, big fan.

“Who needs a mini van?! I’m driving this from now on. Subtle, gorgeous, and OHMYGAWDYOUREHUGE,” she commented on the photo, which Instagram account @commentsbycelebs joked are “the words every man wants to hear.”

The couple is known for their adorable tributes-slash-trolling of each other on Instagram, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. Earlier this year, Lively joked about her husband’s “hot” twin brother who she wishes she’d ended up with, and he hilariously shut down rumors that they were splitting up by sarcastically tweeting, “I wish. I could use a little ‘me time.’”

All of their fun and games on the ‘gram prove that what Lively has said in the past of their relationship is true: They really are best friends. “I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life,” she gushed in a 2016 interview. “That was the biggest thing to me. I’d never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.”

As for their secret to making their picture-perfect relationship last for six years and beyond? “My husband and I don’t work at the same time, so we all go together as a family,” she said in 2017. “If we’re away as a family, it’s never more than for a day. We stay together.”

Friendship, partnership, and adorable Instagram fodder—the three pillars of a beautiful relationship.

Meghan Markle's Mom, Doria Ragland, Secretly Visited London This Summer

GettyImages-959890178.jpg

The world has watched Meghan Markle very closely since she and Prince Harry got together; she can hardly sneeze (or even trip) without headlines being written about it. But by some sort of sorcery, her mom, Doria Ragland, recently made a secret trip to London to visit her daughter, and literally no one noticed.

In a new interview with Good Morning America, royal expert Omid Scobie revealed that Ragland spent some time in the U.K. over the summer. “ICYMI: Sources confirm to @ABC @GMA that Duchess Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland visited Prince Harry and her daughter for an extended stay at their Oxfordshire home this summer,” he wrote in a tweet. “Doria is said to enjoy a close relationship with Harry and continues to be a pillar of strength for Meghan.”

While this trip may have been a quick under-the-radar one, it may have been a chance for Ragland to prepare for a more extended one in the near future. Earlier this summer, rumors began to fly that she was considering moving to London to be closer to her daughter and new son-in-law. “She fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live,” a source told the Sunday Express in early August*.* “I think this has been coming for a while. Even before the wedding she told me how she misses her Megs so much she would do anything to be closer to her, especially now Meghan will be starting a family of her own.”

The source said the move could happen as early as “next month” (meaning September), though considering how skilled Ragland seems to be at dodging the paparazzi, it may have already happened and the world is none-the-wiser.

Blake Lively's Engagement Ring in A Simple Favor Was Inspired by Princess Diana's

no thumb

If you’ve seen the trailer for Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s new film, A Simple Favor, you know that there’s a lot to take in. But while you were busy checking out Lively’s power suits and trying to figure out “what happened to Emily,” you may have missed something: Lively’s ring looks very, very similar to a certain iconic royal’s.

In a new interview with People, the film’s costume designer, Renée Ehrlich Kalfus, revealed it was a calculated decision to make it resemble royal jewels. “It’s a take on Princess Diana’s ring,” she said, referring to the vintage sapphire-and-diamond ring that was once worn by Diana, and that Prince William later used to propose to Kate Middleton. “I wanted to do something vintage, but the director [Paul Feig] thought it should be more on the nose.”

According to People, the ring serves as an “important plot point” in the film, and was once worn by Lively’s character’s mother-in-law—but we’ll just have to wait until the movie comes out on September 14 to find out more.

Peter Iovino/Lionsgate

While you may be familiar with the recent history of Princess Diana’s ring, you may not realize that its story actually stretches far beyond the era of the “People’s Princess.” The inspiration for the piece actually goes all the way back to the 1840s, when Prince Albert had a sapphire-and-diamond broach designed for his soon-to-be wife, Queen Victoria. She loved it so much, she wore it as her “something blue” on her wedding day, and continued to wear it until her husband’s death in 1861. It was later passed along to Queen Elizabeth II, and it’s said that Prince Charles used the broach as inspiration when he was picking out the ring for Princess Diana.

While Lively’s real-life ring from husband Ryan Reynolds doesn’t have quite the same royal history as the inspiration for her onscreen one, it actually does have some surprising similarities. Like Princess Diana’s ring, the actress’s includes an oval central stone surrounded by diamonds, but instead of a 12-karat sapphire, it’s a seven-karat light pink diamond. And unlike Diana’s/Kate’s/Emily Nelson’s platinum band, Lively’s ring features a rose gold one.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Wearing Matching Blue Hues for Charity Event in London

no thumb

Another day, another Meghan Markle outfit we want to steal for ourselves.

On Thursday, the Duchess of Sussex showed up hand-in-hand with Prince Harry to the 100 Days to Peace Gala at Central Hall Westminster in London wearing a blue Jason Wu dress and a pair of Aquazzura slingback heels. She looked effortlessly chic with a navy satin clutch and kept the look simple and understated with natural makeup and loose waves in her hair.

Meghan’s shift-and-slingbacks combo is the perfect easy outfit to take you from day to night, even if your days and nights don’t happen to involve outings with the Queen of England and hot dates with a real prince. With such an easy, breezy (and dare we say, beautiful) vibe, the look is begging to be copied by the rest of us non-royals.

The good news? If you do want to steal her royal style, Meghan’s “Portrait of a Lady” shoes are still available online—though we’d be willing to bet they’ll sell out soon. (The designer is a favorite of the duchess’s; she sported a bespoke pair of Aquazzura shoes for her nuptials.) The Jason Wu Crepe Sleeveless Twist Dress Meghan also donned is similarly available online at Saks Fifth Avenue—with a royalty worthy price tag attached, of course.

FWIW, Harry also stunned in blue at the event, complementing Meghan’s cobalt dress with a navy suit. Because the only thing better than a date night, is a matching date night.

Though Markle frequently mixes up her outfit choices, dark blue dresses, jackets, and accessories have become a sort of staple in her wardrobe. In fact, based on her wardrobe choices from the winter of 2018, we wouldn’t be surprised if she had an entire closet of blue coats and dresses hidden away at Buckingham Palace.

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers Are Reportedly Engaged

GettyImages-957866438.jpg

Another 2018 celebrity engagement for the history books! Denise Richards is reportedly heading down the aisle with her newly minted fiancé, Aaron Phypers.

The couple has reportedly been together since December 2017, and People broke the news of their updated relationship status on Thursday afternoon.

“Aaron and Denise just got engaged and would love to be married sooner than later now that his divorce is finally in his past,” a source told the magazine, referring to Phypers’s split from actress Nicollette Sheridan, which was finalized last month. “The engagement has been a long time coming. He moved on from his past relationship a long time ago, and marrying Denise is a welcome new chapter for both of them in different but equally significant ways.”

The pair is “very happy” together, says the source, and have “settled into life with another,” which means now they’re ready to focus on planning the wedding. “They’re just ready to start their married life together,” the source said.

From the sounds of it, their ‘big day’ will likely be small and intimate. “Denise and Aaron just want a small group of people to be at the wedding, really just their inner circle,” the source said. “They’ve both done this before and this time just want to exchange vows in front of the people who are most important.” Richards was married to Charlie Sheen from 2002 to 2006, and they share two children together.

Marriage isn’t the only big thing on the horizon for the 47-year-old actress. Recently, it was announced that she would be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “She and Aaron are extremely happy, and he’s definitely game with her on-camera persona,” the source says, noting he’s “on board” with whatever drama the show might bring their way. “He seems to care for her in a real way and is up for whatever she throws at him and vice versa. They’re a good team.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar Celebrates 16th Anniversary With Freddie Prinze Jr.

GettyImages-81926932.jpg

It may seem like just yesterday that Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar got together (and broke ’90s teenage hearts all over the world), but it’s been 16 years since the couple wed. The two celebrated their anniversary on Wednesday, with Gellar marking the occasion with a post on Instagram that proves the couple’s sense of humor has remained intact after more than a decade of martial bliss.

“Someone told me ‘Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond,'” she jokingly captioned a selfie of she and her hubby. “But years later, you wish you had a club and a spade.”

The couple met on the set of 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer and were close friends before they ever became involved romantically. “We were just friends. That’s one of the reasons I think our relationship has always been so good,” Prinze said ahead of their 15th anniversary last year. “We were just friends for a good two years before we ever went on a date. She knew what kind of guy I was. She knew what my morals were, what my priorities were, and visa versa. We already kind of knew all the faults in the other person.” They wed in 2002, years after they’d built “a solid foundation” for their relationship.

Humor, à la Gellar’s cheeky post, isn’t the only thing that keeps the couple’s love alive. The other secret to their successful relationship? Mutual respect.

“We treat each other with respect, we didn’t just get married because we thought the other was young and hot. I think that sort of crushes relationships a lot,” Prinze said in a 2016 interview. “We don’t feel fortunate as much as we feel disciplined in the work. Sacrifice is something that’s required in marriage. It’s fun being single, right? You can be selfish. When I was single making movies, I would travel all over the world and I didn’t have to think about anybody else’s feelings. Just my career. So if you’re in that mode, selfishness isn’t bad, it’s good. It’s how careers get made. But marriages require a step back from that and a bit of a sacrifice, and our sacrifice I think is maybe the biggest thing that’s made our marriage work.”

And one more thing they swear by for staying together forever? Separate bathrooms.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Favorite Disney Movies Are Probably the Same As Yours

GettyImages-1026730850.jpg

Ever wondered what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry do during week nights at Nottingham Cottage, aside from dining on roasted chicken? Turns out, they have a whole bunch of Disney movies queued up.

The royal couple attended the WellChild Awards, which honors seriously ill children and their caregivers, on Tuesday, and revealed which animated royals are their favorites to watch onscreen. Prince Harry said he’s a big fan of The Lion King, while Meghan has “always loved The Little Mermaid,” the Daily Mail‘s Rebecca English shared on Twitter.

They both also said they enjoyed the movie Zootropolis (though they likely meant Zootopia) and Moana. Harry said that his favorite part of the latter film is when “the chicken [Heihei] comes up and he finds himself out at sea in a boat.” As for the 2016 Pixar film Ballerina, which they’re also fans of, Meghan joked, “Harry likes it because she [the main character] has got red hair.”

Considering the newlyweds live just a stone’s throw away from their young nieces and nephews, we’d imagine there are plenty of family movie nights going on at Kensington Palace. Last year, Prince William revealed that The Lion King, The Lego Movie, and the show Octonauts were among George’s favorites, so it sounds like he shares some similar taste with his aunt and uncle. “Trying to keep him off the television is hard work. Not too much TV,” said William.

Prince Harry has been involved with the WellChild foundation since 2007, while yesterday was Meghan’s first time attending the event. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the event getting to know some of the honorees. According to a tweet from English, a child named Matilda who has has spina bifida gave Markle a bouquet of white roses. The Duchess took one rose out and returned it to the little girl, telling her to keep it for her memory box. After the touching moment, Prince Harry made Matilda “pinky promise” to never stop smiling.

Prince Harry Gave Meghan Markle the MOST Romantic Gift While They Were Dating

GettyImages-1025057414.jpg

In case there was any question that Prince Harry was a true Prince Charming (which, let’s be honest, there wasn’t), he reportedly gifted Meghan Markle with the most romantic gift in the early days of their relationship.

According to People, Harry bought an original piece of artwork called Everybody Needs Somebody To Love for “for an important person” back in October 2016. While it hasn’t been confirmed that Markle was, in fact, the recipient of the gift, considering it was purchased a few days before their relationship went public, we’d wage our bets that it’s currently hanging somewhere in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

Created by British artist Van Donna, the acrylic, stencil and spray piece, which features a couple holding hands and the words, “Everybody needs somebody to love” in red lettering, reportedly went for thousands of dollars. “Harry is one of the regulars in the area and regularly goes into the shops and galleries with his bodyguard, kind of in stealth mode,” a local art collector told People. “He was in the gallery for a little while and liked a few things, then settled on the Van Donna. He said he was looking for something for ‘an important person.’ It was literally just before anyone heard about Meghan — literally just days before it was announced he was going out with her.”

Courtesy of Walton Fine Arts

The Prince also reportedly asked if he could split the diptych-style piece in half so that it could be shared between two people. “At the time nobody knew about Meghan Markle, but if it was for her then it’s a very romantic gesture,” the source continued. “It’s a bit like a charm bracelet — where you give half of it to someone you’re involved with and keep the other half yourself. We should all learn something from it, I think.”

If you’re interested in investing in this bit of history for yourself, you’re in luck: The artist has created a limited-edition t-shirt with a screen printing of the image for all of us non-royals to enjoy, and you can also buy a version of the artwork online. Now, if only we had a Prince Harry of our own to gift us with it…

Princess Sofia of Sweden Looked Straight Out of a Fairytale at Prince Konstantin of Bavaria’s Royal Wedding

GettyImages-1025924402.jpg

If the end of wedding season has you feeling nostalgic for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s fairytale day earlier this summer, not to worry: There was another royal wedding over the weekend, and we can’t stop gushing over how amazing Princess Sofia of Sweden looked at the event.

Prince Konstantin of Bavaria married Deniz Kaya in St. Moritz in Switzerland on Saturday, and the event was nothing short of picturesque. The bride wore a long-sleeve ivory lace gown, and pulled her hair into a low chignon to show off her delicate veil. Her makeup was simple and natural-looking, a la Meghan Markle’s for her big day, and the most statement making part of her look was a pair of large diamond earrings.

After the ceremony, the Prince and Princess of Bavaria were showered in confetti by adorable page boys and flower girls, who wore blue-and-white floral print dresses and crowns made of fresh flowers. According The Daily Mail, the celebration continued at a lavish reception and dinner in the nearby town of Engadine.

The guest list was reportedly just as glamorous as the backdrop for the big day, and included a number of members of the royal family and European high society. Per usual, Princess Sofia of Sweden brought her outfit A-game, and looked chic as ever in the perfect end-of-summer wedding guest dress. She wore a floor-length baby blue gown with short sleeves, which gave off serious Disney Princess vibes in the best possible way. She paired it with a gold clutch and black jacket, and let her hair fall in loose waves over her shoulders. Carl Philip looked equally as dapper in a classic black tuxedo.

The photos of the two of them at Prince Konstatin’s wedding are giving us serious flashbacks to their big day back in 2015, which included everything a royal wedding ever should: A glittery tiara, a flower wall, and a string quartet version of Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Dog Has the Cutest Name

GettyImages-996287932.jpg

We finally know the name of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s new dog, and it is equal parts unexpected, adorable and unusual.

Earlier this summer, the couple welcomed a black Labrador Retriever rescue pup into their royal family. The palace has yet to share any photos of the crowned canine (which, for what it’s worth, we are dying to see) we do now have some intel about his royal title. Though we were secretly hoping that Meghan and Harry would go with “The Dog of Sussex” to match their own titles, according to The Daily Mail they opted for something slightly simpler: Oz.

While it’s unclear where, exactly, the name may have come from, some believe that it could be related to their upcoming visit to Australia. Given that it’s their first royal tour as a married couple, there’s no doubt that the destination holds some sort of significance to the couple.

For his part, Oz has reportedly begun settling into royal life quite nicely. “The dog is already happily ensconced at their cottage,” a source told The Daily Mail, noting that “‘Like the Sussexes, the dog will divide its time between the palace and their country home in the Cotswolds.”

Oz isn’t the only four legged prince running around at Kensington Palace. Meghan Markle’s Beagle, Guy, moved from Toronto to London shortly before the royal wedding. And as it so happens, welcoming a furry new addition into the palace shortly after the wedding seems to have become a sort of royal tradition. Prince William and Kate Middleton pulled a similar move in 2011, and adopted a Cocker Spaniel named Lupo a few months after their nuptials at Westminster Abbey.

Now that they’ve got a doggo to call their own, our fingers are crossed that Meghan and Harry will take another page out of their in-laws book and welcome some other new additions to their growing family, STAT.

Good Morning America Co-Host Lara Spencer Is Married!

GettyImages-623253602.jpg

Lara Spencer is married!

The Good Morning America co-host tied the knot with tech entrepreneur Rick McVey in Vail, Colorado on Saturday, People reports. The couple has been together for two years, after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date.

The couple met after being set up on a blind date by a mutual friend, McVey popped the question in January, 2018 after two years together. Saturday’s private ceremony included 135 of their closest family and friends, and was truly an intimate affair. Spencer was all smiles as her son, Duff, walked her down the aisle with Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” playing in the background. She wore a gorgeous white gown from Adam Zohar, that featured a mermaid skirt, sheer detailing, and intricate lace appliqué. She paired it with an extra-long veil and classic white flowers, making her the perfect late summer outdoor bride. Her blonde hair was pulled into a loose, beachy updo, and her makeup looked glowy and natural.

A destination wedding makes sense for the couple, given their mutual love of travel. Throughout their relationship, they’ve visited Paris and Colorado together, and snapped plenty of selfies in the process.

While Spencer has yet to post any photos from the actual wedding, she has shared a few shots from the days leading up to the big event. On Thursday, she and McVey shared a romantic bike ride through the mountains, and on Friday she shared a gorgeous shot of she and her two teenaged children.

This is the second marriage for both Rick McVey and Lara Spencer, who ended her marriage to real estate broker and former CNN reporter David Haffenreffer in 2015 after 15 years together.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy Welcome Their Second Child

GettyImages-971178072.jpg

Congratulations are in order for Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy, who welcomed a baby boy earlier this week.

The couple’s second son was born on Monday, August 27, joining older brother Cyrus, age 5, in the Danes/Dancy’s growing family, The Associated Press reports.

The Homeland star announced her pregnancy during an April recording of Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, noting that it was something she and Dancy had been hoping for. “I am pregnant. I’m seriously preggo,” the 39-year-old revealed. “I’m deep into my second trimester.”

“Yeah, this was planned,” she continued. “We’ve been wanting another kid for a while, and it happened.”

Danes and Darcy met while filming Evening in Rhode Island in 2007, and wed in 2009 in a quiet ceremony in France. Three years later, they welcomed Cyrus into their brood.

“I’ve always wanted to have kids, but I’m glad I didn’t until now,” she said shortly after his birth. “When I was thinking about [working and being a mother] originally, I was really nervous about it … I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mom. It just wouldn’t suit me. I feel so fortunate, in that I’ve had this arrow-straight focus … that I wanted to act.”

While she worked up until the final weeks of her first pregnancy, this time around she took a bit of time off. “It feels like a huge luxury,” she told People in June, joking that while she wasn’t having any particular pregnancy cravings, she was happily indulging in “all the food.” “When I was pregnant with my first son [Cyrus Michael Christopher, 5], I worked until I was in my eighth month, so this feels like a huge gift, to have a chance to kick my feet up a little bit.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William Reportedly Have Adorable Pet Names for Each Other

To the rest of the world they may be known as “The Duke and Duchess of Wales,” but behind palace doors Kate Middleton and Prince William have a totally different set of names for one another. And — spoiler alert — they are absolutely adorable.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, attendants at the 2016 Chelsea Flower Show heard the couple calling each other “babe” and “darling.” “Babe, we’ve got loads of these,” Kate said, referring to a particular plant in the show. For his part, William was overheard asking his bride, “Could you make one of these, darling?” about a poppy display.

Pet names, it seems, have been a part of Will and Kate’s relationship long before they walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in 2011. In 2005, William’s voicemails were hacked, and the transcripts revealed that he called Kate “baby” and “babykins” when he’d call her from the military academy while they were dating.

“Hi baby,” he said in one message, per The Daily Mail. “Had a busy day today again.” In another, he gushed, “Oh, my little babykins! I hope you are all right.”

Will and Kate aren’t the only royal couple who use pet names with each other. Earlier this week, Meghan Markle let her nickname for Prince Harry slip out during their visit to a Hamilton performance in London. While posing for a photo with the cast after the show, Meghan turned to her husband of four months and asked, “Can you see, my love?”

Understandably, everyone present had the exact same reaction as we did, which led to a synchronized “awww” among the cast. Meghan seemed to be embarrassed by the brief moment of PDA, and let out an “oh!” before blushing and covering her face. (At least she didn’t get caught saying “babykins”!)

Meghan Markle's Stella McCartney Reception Dress Will Not Be on Display for the Public

Looks like we’ve got a bit of a good news, bad news situation on our hands when it comes to the prospect of checking out Meghan Markle’s iconic wedding dresses in real life. The good news is that her custom Givenchy ceremony gown by Clare Waight Keller will be on display for the entire world to see as of October 26. The bad news, though, is that her Stella McCartney reception dress decidedly won’t be displayed at all.

According to a spokesperson for The Royal Collection Trust, Markle has chosen to keep the sleek white halter dress as a part of her personal collection instead of showing it off to the public. “Because Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding reception was a private affair, the bride’s second dress will not be showcased,” Hello! reports.

But even though the dress that sped through the streets in a vintage Jaguar (and launched a million “#goals” Instagram posts) will be kept tucked away for the long haul, fear not, royal fans: You can still get up close and personal with the awe-inducing dress she wore to walk down the aisle at St George’s Chapel.

The custom Givenchy gown—complete with an extra long train—will be on display at Windsor Castle as part of The Royal Collection Trust’s latest exhibition, “A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” which will run from October 26, 2018, to January 6, 2019. Markle’s shoes, veil, tiara, and accessories will also be there to complete the look, as will Prince Harry’s wedding day attire. The exhibit will continue later in the year at the Palace of Holyroodhouse from June 14, 2019, to October 6, 2019.

With so much of her wedding day broadcasted publicly, it makes sense that Meghan Markle would want to keep one aspect of the event for herself. Or maybe (and our fingers and toes are crossed for this one!) she wants to preserve the dress for the future royal wedding of she and Prince Harry’s hypothetical offspring.
