My holiday to Portugal

Last year, I decided it was finally time to see some Portuguese culture for myself, indulge my taste buds with tasty, local dishes and venture into the deep depths of secret caves. Within just a ten-minute walk from my villa, I was surround by the beautiful Marina de Vilamoura, sandy shores to dig your toes into and restaurants with authentic, local meals. If you love to try new things just like me, then head to Restaurante O Marisco; specialising in the delicacy of all things seafood, freshly-caught everyday. You name it – they have it. If you prefer something a little more close to home, get yourself over to Haven Restaurante, ideal for the people that love a bit of comfort food when on holiday.

After I’d eaten, it was time to start exploring the wonderful caves Portugal has on offer. I’ve always been an eager, adventurous person, but nothing could prepare me for the stunning sights I was about to see. One place that really caught my eye was the small town of Mira de Aire, with the largest known limestone cave in Portugal. The tour was beautifully-lead and the cave had 683 steps. That may seem like quite a lot, but you won’t notice when you’re distracted by the amazing sights. This cave has been chosen as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and if you’re a keen explorer, this is the place for you.

As my journey was coming to an end, I needed my last day of exploring to be my most memorable. That’s when I decided to go on an off-road buggy tour of Algarve, and what a day it was! This offers you an unforgettable adventure driving a buggy, with the thrill of motorsport and natural landscapes that only Algarve can offer. There’s four different adventures on offer for you and your family that’ll really make your holiday amazing.

Although my journey to Portugal felt really quick, I have all these amazing memories that I’ll hold onto forever. Take a holiday to Portugal with your family and you’ll never forget it!
