Meghan Markle Has a Very Royal Present in Store for Her Future Child

no thumb

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child is still another two seasons away from being born, but they’re already a celebrity in their own right, dominating headlines left and right since the royal couple announced they were expecting on Monday. In keeping with the royal baby craze, Entertainment Tonight has unearthed an old interview from Hello! magazine in which the Duchess of Sussex revealed she already has a present in store for her unborn child—and it may hint at the baby’s name.

“I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch,” she told Hello! back in 2015. “When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season—which, at the time, felt like such a milestone—I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.”

While that’s already quite a fitting gift for a tiny royal-to-be (ET discovered it retails for around $6,900), it’s what she says next that might clue us in to Meghan and Harry’s baby name choices.

“I had it engraved on the back, ‘To M.M. From M.M,'” she added. “And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”

In other words, if Markle decides to stick with what she said in the interview, then she might be thinking about naming the child something that starts with ‘M’ (and maybe even with a matching middle name) to make the inscription all the more special—that is, if they turn out to be a girl. Of course, the duchess could have changed her mind since then (and it’d be a cool gift even if the baby’s initials aren’t M.M.), but it might be something you want to keep in mind once it’s time to place your bets.

George W. Bush's Daughter, Barbara Bush, Marries in Secret Seaside Ceremony

unnamed.png

Surprise! It turns out Barbara Bush got married in a small, secret wedding by the seaside over the weekend. According to a report from People, the former First Daughter and her fiancé, Craig Coyne, tied the knot at the Bush summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, in what she described as a “very short, sweet ceremony” attended by only 20 people. The guests included former President George W. Bush, former First Lady Laura Bush, former President George H.W. Bush, and other family members from the bride’s and groom’s sides.

Bush’s father walked her down the aisle, while her aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch, served as officiant, People reported. Her twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, was matron of honor, while the roster of flower girls consisted of Hager’s daughters, Margaret and Poppy—who was also the ring bearer—and Coyne’s niece Emma. Laura Bush also did a reading.

Meanwhile, Coyne’s brother, Edward, was the best man, while his mother, Darlene, and sister, Katie, each read as well.

The bride wore a custom Vera Wang wedding dress, according to a press release from the bridal label, featuring ivory silk crepe, spaghetti straps, and a cowl draped neckline. Bush completed the look with an Italian tulle floor-length cape and a floor-length Italian tulle veil. She also incorporated a memento from her late grandmother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, who passed away earlier this year, as reported by People. “It’s really sweet,” Bush said. “The ‘something borrowed’ that I’m wearing is this bracelet that my grandfather gave to my grandmother on their 70th anniversary.”

According to People, the surprise nuptials are the first time Bush and Coyne have gone public with their relationship. The couple revealed that they got married after a five-week engagement, and have been an official couple since New Year’s Eve, after meeting during a blind date orchestrated by their friends last November. Bush told the magazine that Coyne proposed in Kennebunkport over the summer, in the same spot where George H.W. Bush had proposed to Barbara Bush 75 years prior.

“It’s just been a very sweet romance,” Bush told People. “And we’ve been long-distance for most of it—he’s been in L.A. and I’ve been in New York—but we’ve gotten to spend a lot of time together.”

Meghan Markle Might Be Wearing Her First Post-Royal Wedding Tiara Very Soon

GettyImages-960056444.jpg

The royal wedding happened all the way back in May, which means it’s been almost five whole months since Meghan Markle put on a tiara. As you’ll recall, she wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau Tiara, a gorgeous headpiece made in 1932 that featured a stunning center brooch, a flexible platinum band, and more diamonds than we can count. Having been given the chance to rock such a sparkler like that, you’d think that Markle would be wearing tiaras left and right. Unfortunately, there are rules that govern when the Duchess of Sussex and other women in the royal family can and can’t wear a tiara. But her tiara-wearing dry spell might be coming to an end: According to Marie Claire, she just may be wearing her second tiara as a royal in just two weeks.

As Marie Claire reported, royal women can only wear tiaras after 6 p.m. (with the exception of very special occasions like royal weddings) and after they’re married. In fact, as Glamour reported, Kate Middleton has only worn a tiara five times besides her own royal wedding, thrice for state banquets, once for an annual winter party at Buckingham Palace, and once for Chinese president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan’s visit to the U.K.

Luckily, Marie Claire pointed out that there’s a state dinner hosted by Fijian president Jioji Konrote during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first international royal tour. With this being almost guaranteed to be an event that requires formal evening wear, there’s definitely a possibility that the Duchess of Sussex will be able to show off another royal tiara. If so, will she pick the Spencer Tiara, famously worn by Princess Diana on her wedding day, the Queen Elizabeth II–approved Russian Fringe Tiara, the Strathmore Rose Tiara, or another diamond-encrusted heirloom?

Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Wedding Bands With Brad Falchuk

no thumb

The rumors are true! After reports surfaced this weekend of Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk’s wedding, the actress and Goop founder has appeared to confirm the news herself with a romantic Instagram post posted on Sunday. The photo is a close-up of their left hands, with the bride’s clasped on top of the groom’s, showing off their matching wedding bands. It looks like Paltrow wanted the elegant rings—thin and gold, with no stones or other embellishments—to speak for themselves, because she left out a caption.

The minimalist bands are definitely a huge change in style from Paltrow’s engagement ring, a gift from Falchuk that she revealed in January was a massive sapphire held in place by a band of diamonds. (They announced their engagement with a cover story on Goop, as well as a photoshoot inside that showed off the sizable gem.) Knowing Paltrow’s laid-back, Goop-directing aesthetic, as well as her simple-but-chic taste in jewelry, it wouldn’t be too surprising if she turned out to be the one in charge of the rings this time around.

But while the rings may look low-key (in a “probably-cost-millions-of-dollars” way), the wedding itself was anything but. According to People, the pair reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony at their house in the Hamptons on Saturday that was studded with celebrities. According to People, Steven Spielberg, Cameron Diaz, Diaz’s husband, Benji Madden, and Robert Downey Jr. were among the guests, as was Jerry Seinfeld, who reportedly hosted the couple’s rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Congratulations, Gwyneth and Brad!

Kate Middleton Recycled Another Dress for Friend Sophie Carter's Wedding

no thumb

Dressing for someone else’s wedding can be incredibly daunting. Even when the bride and groom don’t have a strict dress code, there’s always unspoken etiquette rules, like not wearing white (or anything that might be mistaken for white), or anything that would look good at a night club. Luckily, one frequent wedding-goer by the name of Kate Middleton has got you covered. If you’re not sure what to wear to an upcoming wedding, just take a page out of her book and throw on something tried and true: Over the weekend, the Duchess of Cambridge once again recycled an outfit to attend her family friend Sophie Carter’s wedding.

According to People, the blue Catherine Walker & Co coat dress she wore to the wedding was previously on display last July, when Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte visited Berlin. Of course, she added some accessories to make it more wedding appropriate: For her friend’s big day, she donned a large flower crown made out of blue roses that was a clever nod to her daughter’s bridesmaid flower crown. She also carried a satin blue clutch and offset all that blue with a silver necklace and earrings.

As People noted, this is pretty much Kate Middleton’s go-to wedding trick to make sure press coverage about her wardrobe never overshadows the bride. In May, for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding, she wore a pale yellow (not white!) coat dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen that she’s previously worn on two occasions: Princess Charlotte’s christening and the queen’s birthday. While that may sound like a lot, there’s another dress—a cream coat by Day Birger et Mikkelsen, according to Harper’s Bazaar Australia—that she’s worn to three weddings, starting before she became a royal.

And just to switch things up, she’s recycled pieces from her own wedding as well: For the annual Garter Day service in 2016, she brought back her own bridal earrings.

This Bride's List of Demands Reads Like a Parody

no thumb

If you’ve ever attended or thrown a wedding, you know to expect some guidelines—no matter how loose or simple—that make sure things run at least kind of smoothly. The vast majority of these guidelines are very reasonable (don’t wear jeans, don’t wear white, no need for a gift, etc.), but occasionally they can get way out of hand. Take, for instance, the expectations of one bride that went viral this week.

As Cosmo reported, Reddit user u/laika_cat uploaded a screenshot of an email sent to guests of a wedding. The email purported to be from a “wedding coordinator,” but the ridiculous demands, not to mention the numerous spelling/grammar errors, call that into question. The deceptively short list of ridiculous rules includes a $75+ gift for admission, a mandatory hashtag, and no talking to the bride. Without further ado:

Rules and regulations:

  1. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early.

  2. Please DO NOT wear white, cream or ivory.

  3. Please do not wear anything other than a basic bob or ponytail.

  4. Please do not fave a full face of makeup.

  5. Do not record during the seramony.

  1. Do not check in on FB until instructed.
  1. Use #[REDACTED] when posting all pictures.
  1. DO NOT TALK TO THE BRIDE AT ALL.
  1. Everyone will toast with Rémy. No acceptance.
  1. Lastly must come with gift 75$ or more or you want be admited in.

The email ends with the writer asking guests to call them if they “have any questions or need clarification,” and we’re left to assume that their phone was probably ringing nonstop for the next few days.

This isn’t the only bride who has unwittingly gone viral for charging an admission fee for her wedding. A month ago, one couple reportedly had to call off a wedding days before the scheduled date, all because not enough people were willing to send them the $1,500 attendance fee.

Kayla Rae Reid Wore a Stunning White Jumpsuit to Her Rehearsal Dinner With Ryan Lochte

no thumb

Kayla Rae Reid is the latest bride to partake in one of fall’s biggest wedding trends: the jumpsuit. While she ended up going with a more traditional gown for her second wedding to Ryan Lochte, she put on a gorgeous custom jumpsuit for the rehearsal dinner. As People reported on Thursday, the jumpsuit in question is a bespoke design by Rime Arodaky. It features a sheer bodice and sleeves with white floral embellishments, as well as a matching train that evokes an ethereal wedding veil. It also took three weeks to perfect—that’s in addition to all the weeks Reid and Arodaky spent discussing and poring over sketches, People reported.

“Kayla loved the Patsy jumpsuit as she thought it really fit her personality and body, however, she wanted to personalize it by changing the embroidered tulle on the jumpsuit to something more poetic,” Arodaky told People. “So we ended up using the same embroidered tulle that she absolutely loved from the Blair gown.”

Reid apparently loved the final result so much that she shared an entire album’s worth of snaps on her Instagram. “Rehearsal dinner 🥂In love with my @rimearodaky custom jumpsuit! THANK YOU ❤️,” she wrote. “I love everything she creates! So chic, simple, and stunning!! ✨”

“Kayla is a gorgeous woman with an exciting life and we were happy she loved the look we created for her!” Arodaky added to People. “It was modern and elegant all while exhibiting a lot of intricate details and embroideries.”

As Brides wrote earlier in September, a lot of fall brides are doing what Reid did and incorporating a wedding-worthy jumpsuit into their big day, whether it be for the actual ceremony or for another item on the schedule, like a rehearsal dinner or the reception. One of the most famous ones to do so was Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who was ahead of the trend when she wrote a lace Tadashi Shoji jumpsuit to her wedding reception in July.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Are Reportedly Getting a Prenuptial Agreement

GettyImages-1035002564.jpg

Everything’s moving super-quickly for Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, but they’re reportedly still carving out some time to get a prenuptial agreement. Or so says TMZ, which reported on Friday that the couple are “about” to negotiate a prenup and won’t get married until they both sign it. If this seems slightly confusing because of reports you may have read that they’re already married, that’s because, well, it kind of is.

To recap, last Friday, TMZ and People both reported that Biebwin had made a trip to a courthouse in New York City that issues marriage licenses. But while TMZ reported that they were just there to get a marriage license, People reported that they actually did the damn thing, and are now officially, legally married. (Both sources say that the two are still holding out for an actual wedding ceremony, though.) To make matters even more confusing, Baldwin then tweeted that the “Just Married!” rumors simply aren’t true.

“I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

People, however, stuck to its story that Bieber and Baldwin are, in fact, a married couple in the civil sense, adding that maybe Baldwin just doesn’t consider herself married since they haven’t taken their vows. She reportedly “feels a civil ceremony and their ‘real’ wedding are two separate things,” a source told People, while a “religious source” told the outlet, “What happened at the courthouse is a courthouse thing—a legal thing. But marriage is two people making a vow before God and the people they love.”

But wait, there’s more! Us Weekly is also maintaining that they’re married, and reported on Sunday that they did not, in fact, get a prenup.

Whether Bieber and Baldwin are actually married, with or without a prenup, one thing’s for sure: The actual wedding ceremony is going to be amazing. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” Baldwin told The Cut last Thursday. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Are Already Married, According to New Report

no thumb

It (maybe) happened! Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are now a married couple, according to a new report from People. The outlet reported on Friday that the pair had gotten married on Thursday in New York City, two months after their engagement.

While this is already cause for celebration, there are reportedly more festivities to come: According to People, Bieber and Baldwin only got legally married at a courthouse that issues marriage licenses, and they’re saving the actual wedding for a future date. “They’re going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love,” a “religious source” told People.

TMZ, however, reported that the wedding would be a “super small ceremony” (likely taking place “out of the country,” with Canada being a strong contender), and could occur “as early as next week.”

Previously, TMZ broke the story about Biebwin’s courthouse appointment on Thursday, publishing photos of the two on the way there. The publication reported that eyewitnesses at the Marriage Bureau said Bieber was crying, reportedly telling Baldwin, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby.”

According to TMZ‘s eyewitnesses, Bieber also thanked a court official (possibly a judge) for “keeping it on the DL.”

As for the couple’s impending wedding, Baldwin gave The Cut a preview on Thursday. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” she said. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”

The Cut reported that Baldwin said she has enlisted a wedding planner to scout out a location (prioritizing the West Coast) and hired a designer for a wedding gown. Baldwin also told The Cut that the party will be “small and familial.” “My sister will be my bridesmaid,” she told The Cut. “I was hers last year. And maybe Justin’s little sister as a flower girl. Is 10 too old?”

A 33-Carat Diamond Tiara With Ties to Spanish Royalty Is Going on Auction

no thumb

Here’s some great news if you want to channel Meghan Markle and rock a tiara to your upcoming wedding: A 33.5-carat diamond tiara with ties to Spanish royalty is going on auction. If you have money to burn, you could be the proud owner of a double-decker platinum tiara that once belonged to a noblewoman who served as a lady-in-waiting for Queen Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg, Queen of Spain, People reports. According to People, the sparkly headpiece was designed by Ansorena, the Spanish royal jeweler, and has been owned by the family of Chávarri Aldecoa, Countess of Villagonzalo, for more than a century. Royal pedigree aside, it’s also just really cool: According to Blouin Art Info, it features “Greek key motifs, forget-me-not flowers and trailing laurel leaves” made out of “single and rose-cut diamonds,” and the bottom half can detach to be turned into a choker.

Naturally, this doesn’t come cheap. Auction company Bonhams told People it expects the tiara to sell for between $103,000 and $160,000. “It is supremely elegant given its lace-like quality in platinum and diamonds,” Emily Barber, Bonhams’s director of jewelry, told People. “The craftsmanship is extraordinary.”

This isn’t the only aristocratic headgear that’s up for grabs. According to People, a “geometric Art Deco” tiara that belonged to Viscountess Churchill is also going on sale with the one that belonged to the Countess of Villagonzalo. Like the Spanish tiara, it can be detached into different pieces of jewelry, including a necklace, bracelets, clips, and brooches.

“It is extremely rare to have not one but two tiaras with such interesting provenances,” Barber told People. “They are not only fine examples of the respective jeweler’s art, but great survivors from an age of aristocratic glamour.”

Blouin Art Info reports that the auction for Chávarri Aldecoa’s tiara will take place on September 26 in London, so start saving up.

Bekah Martinez's Boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, Confuses Fans With Instagram Posts About “Marriage”

GettyImages-917636960.jpg

Fans are congratulating Bekah Martinez, breakout star of Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s season of The Bachelor, after she revealed on Wednesday that she and boyfriend Grayston Leonard are expecting their first child. But the comments section on Leonard’s Instagram post are filling up with well-wishers for an entirely different reason: Thanks to a couple of cryptically worded posts, fans now think that the couple have already gotten married.

As People reported, the confusion began last week, when Leonard posted two pictures on his Instagram of Bekah and him at the beach. The first is captioned “Stuck with this beach,” and the second reads, “After 48 hours of marriage, I am foregoing a life with Rebekah for an annulment. she’s not happy about it.” As if that weren’t confusing enough, Bekah was photographed wearing a lacy white dress, and in the first photo, the pair are standing under a very wedding-y canopy decorated with palm fronds and white fabric.

All of this just seems to be an elaborate (if Pinterest-worthy) joke though, because on Wednesday, Leonard tried to clear things up with an Instagram Story: “No, we aren’t married,” he said in an Instagram Story, while lounging in bed with Martinez, according to People. It looks like some fans didn’t get the memo, because as of Friday, congratulations are still pouring in to his comments section.

That Leonard’s posts are a joke and not a casual wedding announcement syncs up pretty well with Martinez’s previous comments regarding marriage. In an interview with PureWow from Wednesday that accompanied her pregnancy announcement, Martinez said marriage is definitely off the table right now. “It’s a horrible idea for us to consider with all of the hormones and the stress we’re experiencing,” she told PureWow. “The last thing we need is to consider another commitment on top of what we’re already going through…Regardless, we’re bound together by sharing this little life.”

Meghan Markle's Royal Tour Will Be a “Baptism of Fire,” According to a Former Royal Spokesperson

GettyImages-907894838.jpg

In less than two months, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be embarking on their first royal tour together as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, visiting Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in October. And while the couple have surely been talking nonstop about how big a deal the upcoming trip is, it’s doubtful they’re doing so with words like “baptism of fire.” But that’s exactly how one former royal spokesperson described the tour in a new interview with The Mirror.

“She’s a good communicator, she’s good at talking to people, but it will be a real baptism of fire,” Dickie Arbiter, a former spokesperson for the queen, told the publication. “They will have a very demanding schedule, and the duchess will have to get used to local customs with the eyes of the world on her. But no doubt she will come through with flying colors and they will show they will be a force of good for the Commonwealth and the Royal Family on the global stage.”

Arbiter also said that the tour will be a “litmus test” for Markle, who previously attended the Invictus Games in Toronto as Prince Harry’s girlfriend, but will now be opening the Invictus Games in Sydney with him as part of a married couple. “With experience will come confidence, and in the next few months I have no doubt we will see her come out of her shell even more and start to be more vocal for causes and charities she wishes to support,” Arbiter added.

He also praised the way Markle has handled all of her royal outings. “With the Duchess of Sussex being from the U.S., the concept of monarchy is a bit alien, so it’s been a great learning curve she has taken in her stride and managed incredibly well,” he told The Mirror. “The prime example was when she went to Cheshire with the queen. There seemed to be a tremendous rapport between them, a lot of laughter, and that would give a clear indication that the queen is very relaxed in her company and she became relaxed in the queen’s company. She and Harry have shown they are getting on incredibly well and always look so fantastically in love.”

The Crazy Rich Asians Engagement Ring Belongs to Michelle Yeoh in Real Life

no thumb

If you came out of Crazy Rich Asians with quite a few pieces of wedding inspo, you can at least partially thank Michelle Yeoh. Turns out, the second (gorgeous, emerald) ring that Nick (Henry Golding) proposes to Rachel (Constance Wu) with, which comes from his mom, Yeoh’s character Eleanor, actually belongs to the actress in real life. Director Jon M. Chu spilled the beans to Vulture in a piece published on Thursday.

“We had a ring designed already, and our mock-up looked so sh*tty that Michelle [Yeoh] was like, ‘That cannot be the ring I wear,’” Chu told Vulture. “I’m like, ‘I know, I know. I’m so embarrassed by it, but we don’t have the money.’ She’s like, ‘I have a better ring than that.’”

As Chu told Vulture, Yeoh then had her assistant fetch her jewelry box, whereupon she revealed a gorgeous emerald-and-diamond number she’d originally bought as a gift to herself (!). “She pulls it out, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s our ring,’” Chu said in the interview.

ANGELA WEISS/Getty Images

Sanja Bucko/Warner Bros.

As for other details you can steal for your own wedding, the stunning pastel blue gown that Rachel wears to Colin (Chris Pang) and Araminta’s (Sonoya Mizuno) wedding is made by Marchesa. Meanwhile, the wedding dress itself was actually a Mary Vogt–designed jumpsuit that came complete with a 10-foot train, “thousands” of Swarovski crystals, and “waterproof material.”

And for the part where Araminta walked on water as she came down the aisle, production designer Nelson Coates says he used a “flower-lined water aisle, constructed in truck-able segments, and somehow waterproofed during the fast installation.” Here are a few more details, in case you don’t have a crazy rich budget and want to do it yourself: Coates told Brides that he laminated the waterproofed marine plywood aisle with a reflective fabric, lined it with orchids, bromeliads, and ferns, and hid water jets among the plants to adjust the volume and direction of water. Happy crafting!

Brides Getting Haircuts During Their Weddings Are Now a Thing

GettyImages-520737332.jpg

For many brides, having a second wedding dress is par for the course. After stunning guests with a more traditional look during the ceremony, it’s not uncommon to want to change into something a little more party-friendly for the reception. (For a real-life example, Meghan Markle changed from a bespoke Givenchy masterpiece with a mile-long train into a sleeveless Stella McCartney number that was still glamorous, but way more danceable.) Lately, however, the second-dress reveal is proving insufficient for some brides. According to a new report by Refinery29, the newest bridal trend involves not just a second dress, but a whole new haircut, with an on-site hairdresser chopping off the bride’s locks just in time for the reception.

While this may sound needlessly stressful, Refinery29 points out that it actually makes sense, since a lot of brides already want a second hairstyle for the reception anyway. Plus, there are plenty of brides who end up getting haircuts shortly after their honeymoon as well. “More than half my brides cut off their hair immediately after their wedding,” hairstylist AJ Palace told Refinery29. “If you’re planning on cutting your hair after the wedding—why not just do it at the wedding, and make it the coolest second-look reveal?”

Palace and fellow hairstylist Matt Fugate showcased two mid-wedding haircuts for Refinery29. In the first, Palace transformed one bride’s long blonde waves (originally hitting her mid-back) into a cool-girl shoulder-length lob. In the second, Fugate razored another newlywed’s red waist-length curls into a voluminous look that ended just under her collarbone.

For both hairstylists, the trick was getting in a huge transformation within 15 minutes. (Fugate says he accomplished the latter look in just five.)

“We kept it a secret from everyone, so we only had about 10 minutes total blocked off to do the cut,” Palace told Refinery29. “Kayla and I snuck away quickly, right in between speeches and her first dance. I cut her hair dry, basically taking a few inches off the ends, and just touched up the style a little, making it cute and piecey with some soft bends for texture.”

Ultimately, both quick-change hairdos paid off. “Everyone was excited about it, and the shock and awe was awesome,” Fugate told Refinery29. “It also made for a great photo op—the second look was so different, but so crazy-cool at the same time.”

Nick Jonas and His Parents Land in India Reportedly to Meet Priyanka Chopra's Family

GettyImages-912878340.jpg

Earlier this week, an anonymous source told a newspaper in Mumbai that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra would be celebrating their (still unconfirmed) engagement in Mumbai this weekend. Now, it looks like that rumor’s coming true. On Thursday evening, People reported, Jonas and his parents—Denise and Kevin Sr.—arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Supporting that theory was the robin egg blue Tiffany & Co. bag reportedly dangling from Kevin Sr.’s hand. To recap, Jonas reportedly closed down a Tiffany’s in New York back in July so Chopra could pick out an engagement ring.

Previously, an unnamed source told the Mumbai-based Daily News and Analysis that the couple’s families would be meeting for the first time at their (rumored) engagement party on Saturday. “Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party,” the source said. “It’s exactly a month after her birthday and those close to the Quantico actress feel that she may make an official announcement about her relationship status at the bash. However, the venue of the do has been kept under wraps.”

If the rumors check out, this would be Jonas’s second trip to India to meet with Chopra’s family. Back in June, he and Chopra spent a week vacationing there, with Jonas reportedly meeting Chopra’s mother, Madhu, according to People.

“We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him,” Chopra told People at the time. “That’s what he said. I think he really enjoyed it. It was really beautiful. He had a great time.”

It looks like this will be happening a lot more once the couple ties the knot. “To me, my whole life is about traveling,” she added to People. “I travel every two weeks on a different plane. My family flies over, my friends fly with me. It’s not a big deal in my world. It’s my normal.”

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's Wedding Reportedly Won't Happen Until Next Year

GettyImages-1013560908.jpg

Contrary to popular belief (and their whirlwind engagement), Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin reportedly will not be getting married any time soon. According to a report by TMZ, unnamed sources claim that the couple are putting off their wedding until 2019. The sources made sure to clarify that this isn’t because either of them has cold feet. Instead, it’s all about commitment. The sources also told TMZ that their quick engagement wasn’t “jumping the gun.” “Justin’s been in love with her for a long time, so this didn’t just come from out of the blue,” a source told TMZ, adding that they had gotten together a few times outside of public knowledge.

The news comes just four days after Bieber was spotted by TMZ reading a book called The Meaning of Marriage as he left Baldwin’s apartment. When asked why the couple had been photographed crying while going out for a bike ride, Bieber responded, “This,” and pointed to the book. “You’ve got good days and you’ve got bad days. It’s not real if it doesn’t have any bad days.”

Just a month earlier, Us Weekly reported that the pair had already begun planning their wedding. “They want something private, intimate,” a so-called source told Us Weekly, adding that the “very small wedding” would probably be set in Canada. “Justin loves Canada and is at home there. It’s a special place for him and he’d love to get married there.”

Previously, the couple confirmed their engagement on their respective social media accounts after dating for around a month. “Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with!” Baldwin tweeted. “No words could ever express my gratitude.”

Meanwhile, Bieber opted for something that could not be contained within Twitter’s 280-character limit.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” he wrote on Instagram. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense! The thing I am most excited for is that my little brother and sister get to see another healthy stable marriage and look for the same!!! Gods timing really is literally perfect, we got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection, it’s true GOOGLE IT! Isn’t that nuts? By the way I didn’t plan that, anyways My goodness does feel good to have our future secured! WERE GONNA BE BETTER AT 70 BABY HERE WE GO! “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains FAVOR from the Lord!” This is the year of favor!!!!”

Hopefully Bieber’s wedding vows won’t be nearly as long.

Meghan Markle Has Reportedly Turned Down an Invitation to Present at the Emmys

In about a month and a half, TV actors across America will don their best red carpet gear and get together for a night at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards. One star, however, will be notably absent. That would be Meghan Markle, who has reportedly “politely turned down” an invitation to attend and present at the Emmys, according to The Sun. An unnamed, L.A.-based source told The Sun that the Duchess of Sussex made this decision to draw a “line in the sand” between her acting career and her new life as a royal.

“We had hoped Meghan would attend as a way of saying goodbye to her Suits fans and colleagues,” a source told The Sun. “Show executives and NBC had offered Harry and her an invitation to celebrate with the biggest stars around, meet her showbiz friends and even present an honour. But Meghan is not attending.”

The Sun reported that NBC and Kensington Palace both declined to comment.

For six years, Markle played the character of Rachel Zane on Suits, but she left the show (and her acting life) behind when she got engaged to Prince Harry. Back in April, Suits gave her a fitting send-off when they had Rachel get married in the Season 7 finale just a few weeks before the royal wedding took place in real life.

“I knew from a year ago that this relationship was burgeoning,” Suits creator Aaron Korsh previously said about Markle leaving the show, in an interview with Today on Radio 4. “And I had a decision to make because I didn’t want to intrude and ask her, ‘Hey, what’s going on and what are you going to do?’ So collectively with the writers, we decided to take a gamble that these two people were in love and it was going to work out.”

“What we decided to do (was to) say, ‘Look, I would rather have good things happen to Meghan in her life,’ which would likely mean her leaving the show,” he continued. “So let’s plan on that and it’s much easier to undo that, if it came to it, than to just plan on her staying forever and then finding out she’s going to go.”

Meghan Markle Will Not Get to Keep Most of Her Birthday Presents This Year

Being a member of the British royal family comes with tons of benefits, but keeping your own birthday presents isn’t one of them. On Saturday, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, celebrated her 37th birthday, and she no doubt received plenty of presents for the special occasion. Unfortunately, The Mirror reports that she’ll return a lot of them, as per the royal family’s guidelines. “The fundamental principle governing the acceptance of gifts by Members of The Royal Family is that no gifts, including hospitality or services, should be accepted which would, or might appear to, place the Member of The Royal Family under any obligation to the donor,” the guidelines state, according to The Mirror.

This means, The Mirror reported, that she would normally have to return anything from a business. This includes samples, although if it costs too much to return, she can probably keep it. (A souvenir of an official visit is OK, too.) Markle would also have to give back money, obviously, unless she accepts it on behalf of a charity.

But it’s not all bad. The Mirror reports that the duchess would get to keep gifts from public bodies in the U.K., like trade associations, and things from people she doesn’t know if they’re flowers, food, non-controversial books from the author themselves, and anything else that doesn’t cost more than £150 (around $194). But there’s a catch: if she has concerns about the sender’s motives, she’ll have to send it back.

These rules are the same reason why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had to give back $9.3 million in wedding gifts following their nuptials in May. That’s a lot of boxes. It’s also why they asked people to donate to charity instead of sending gifts.

“The couple have personally chosen 7 charities which represent a range of issues that they are passionate about, including sport for social change, women’s empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness, HIV and the Armed Forces,” Kensington Palace said at the time.

Priyanka Chopra Was the Ultimate Fan Girl at Fiancé Nick Jonas's Concert This Weekend

no thumb

Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly one of Nick Jonas‘s biggest fans. The actor was spotted dancing and singing along from a front-row spot at her reported fiancé’s concert in Singapore on Sunday. As Cosmopolitan notes, Twitter user @jjinwoos was one of several fans who took videos of Priyanka’s cameo, recording her cheering and bopping to the music as Nick performed “Chains.” And the night before, as spotted by Marie Claire, another fan had recorded them in the midst of some PDA at a party.

Priyanka’s presence at Nick’s concert was later confirmed when she and Nick separately posed with Indonesian singer Afgansyah Reza, aka Afgan. “One of the most humble person i have ever met. Thank you for being so kind @priyankachopra. It was lovely to meet you,” Afgan wrote in the caption for Priyanka’s photo, adding, ” While this picture was taken by @nickjonas. Love them! Thank you @mtvasia.” Meanwhile, alongside Nick’s, he wrote: “Had the pleasure to chat with the talented @nickjonas for a bit. Thanks for meeting me. Have a great show! By the way, this picture was taken by @priyankachopra. They’re so humble! #respect.”

Although there doesn’t appear to be any engagement rings in the photos, Priyanka and Nick were reportedly engaged a few weeks ago, after just a couple months of dating.

“His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him,” a source told People after the news broke. “He’s definitely very serious about her.” No kidding — according to People, Nick closed down an entire Tiffany store in New York City just so they could pick out an engagement ring.

Neither Priyanka nor Nick have confirmed their engagement, but at least we have confirmation Priyanka likes his music.
