An Organic Spring Wedding on Top of Aspen Mountain

no thumb

My Yen Tran has boiled down her relationship with Gracie Whalen into two sentences. “We met through friends in early 2012, but Gracie didn’t like me at first,” she says. “But my wonderful personality won her over and eventually she caved—and now we’re married!” However, My Yen had a lot more to share when she popped the question in December of 2016. To do so, she put together a book full of pictures and memories from their four years together, and gave it to Gracie on a Sunday afternoon at home. “On the last page was a picture of the ring and the question, ‘Will you marry me?’” Gracie recalls. “It was perfect!”

When they started planning their May 25, 2018, wedding, they knew one thing: They wanted a destination wedding. But where? “We sent out a survey to all of our friends, asking them to choose between Puerto Rico, Florida, Colorado, and Georgia,” says My Yen. “We expected a beach destination to win out, but were surprised when 100% of our friends and family chose Colorado!” From there, all they had to do was choose a venue. “As soon as we saw photos of the Wedding Deck at the Little Nell, we were sold. We booked it without ever having been to Aspen!” Gracie explains.

With just 79 guests in attendance, Gracie and My Yen booked intimate venues— the Wedding Deck at the Little Nell for the ceremony and the nearby Aspen Mountain Club for the reception—and then turned to Gold Leaf Event Design for the planning and design. “We had our planner, Kate, narrow everything down to two choices, making the process a lot easier for us,” My Yen explains. “She’d planned many more weddings than we had, so we trusted her wholeheartedly!” The result was an organic spring wedding full of layered blue and silver, accented with lots of greenery and hints of fresh flowers. Keep reading to see more of this mountaintop celebration, as photographed by Luna de Mare!

Once guests had helped choose the destination, Gracie and My Yen got to work putting together an invitation suite. Their design featured a simple script invitation atop a warm-toned wooden board, all tied together with velvet ribbon.

Each bride chose a flowing gown that fit her personality—but their selections had some surprising coordinated details. My Yen’s Blush by Hayley Paige gown had delicate straps, a plunging V-neck, and lace appliqués, while Gracie’s custom Lea Ann Belter dress paired her favorite aspects of two designs. “I loved the illusion lace top of one gown and the silk organza skirt of the other, and they were able to combine the two into the perfect dress for me,” she describes.

The couple’s dog, Danger, was also dressed for the occasion. “She was the flower girl slash ring bearer. She’s very gender-fluid, so she wore a combo tutu and tux!” says My Yen.

The wedding party all wore navy BHLDN gowns, with My Yen’s bridesmaids in spaghetti straps and Gracie’s in a thicker strapped V-neck, style. “Our bridesman, James, wore a custom navy suit from Oliver Wicks,” says Gracie.

The women all carried bouquets that combined lisianthus, ranunculus, silver brunia, green berzelia, eryngium, seeded eucalyptus, and tulips.

A blue-carpeted aisle led to a circle installation covered in lush greenery, hints of white flowers, and clusters of blackberries and blueberries. Guests sat in black helix chairs, which added a modern contrast to the lush altar and the dramatic views (at 11,212 feet!).

The couple wrote their own ceremony, browsing the web for their favorite ideas. “Writing it ourselves actually helped take the pressure off, and made the process really enjoyable for us,” says My Yen.

Inside the Aspen Mountain Club, rectangular tables were topped with silver linens and sheer runners. A custom trellis made of Aspen branches set the scene above each table, while navy pillar candles and clustered vases (filled with lisianthus, silver brunia, tulips, and eryngium) added color below.

Each place setting was set with a marble charger, a navy blue napkin, and black-and-gold flatware. “We also wrote each of our guests a personalized note describing all of the things we love about them and thanking them for their impact on our lives,” Gracie says. “We hid the cards under their plates and, before dinner was served, had everyone read the notes we’d left. It was a highlight of our wedding day!”

Aspen Mountain Club is known for its amazing cuisine, and My Yen and Gracie’s wedding dinner lived up to the hype. Guests dined on Kona crab with ginger aioli and opal basil, Hawaiian Kampachi with avocado and citrus faro, and angel food cake with strawberry Bavarian cream and white chocolate cremeux.

And of course there was wedding cake! The couple’s three-tiered confection featured a hexagonal base with two round tiers and was topped with a cluster of succulents and fresh greenery.

During the toasts, My Yen’s best friend had everyone in tears of laughter. “She had been searching for the recording of a rap song I wrote when I was 18, and hadn’t been able to find it,” she recalls. “The night before the wedding, another one of our friends told Julie she had the recording and asked if they could incorporate it somehow. Julie was thrilled, and it was the perfect addition!”

Between the personal touches and emotional moments, My Yen and Gracie say that they did their best to immerse themselves fully in their wedding day. “Do everything you can to be present and enjoy it,” says Gracie. “It goes by so quickly!”

25 Years Ago, Forrest Gump (a.k.a. Tom Hanks) Crashed This Woman's Wedding Photos

no thumb

25 years may have passed since Mary Dunning Chapman and David Chapman tied the knot in Beaufort, South Carolina, but Mary of course still holds the day—and photos from it—close to her heart. And amongst those traditional ceremony and reception pictures is one particularly unique shot featuring none other than Forrest Gump (a.k.a. Tom Hanks himself). Guess life really is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get!

While standing outside the chapel ahead of her wedding, Mary spotted the Sleepless in Seattle star and had to snag a shot with him. Hanks was in the midst of filming the movie Forrest Gump (you may have heard of it) when the bride asked him to take a photo with her before she said her I dos. The photo, which was shot by Fridrik Tiedemann Photography, turned 25 years old on September 11. (See the pic here!)

“It comes up all the time,” Mary told The Island Packet of the photograph, which is signed by the actor and framed. “Congratulations! The only bride more beautiful was the one I married … I’m just sorry I missed the ceremony! God bless, Tom Hanks,” the star wrote.

According to the bride, while waiting to walk into the chapel in her wedding dress, a man hanging out of a baby blue Lincoln down the street began honking his horn and hollering at her. He then exited the car and approached her, introducing himself as Tom Hanks. After snagging a photo, Hanks wished Mary good luck and gave her a hug and kiss, while her bridesmaids fan-girled out next to her.

The star later invited the newlyweds to watch the filming of Forrest Gump, but the couple could only make it to the premiere before returning to their busy lives. The two say that even though it was a quick moment in time, the exciting memory of the actor on their wedding day has lived on for years.

“David and I talked about it after it happened and we just thought that what Tom Hanks did just sealed the deal,” Mary said. “That he and I were meant to be. It’s always been a special thing for us.”

Jo and Vee married in in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where both Issac and Jo and Vee’s daughter, Vivi, walked down the aisle with the couple as ring bearers. Lowry’s plus-one for the night was friend Becky Hayter, who she later thanked on Twitter for attending the wedding with her.

“Thank you for being my BFF & date to this wedding. And wiping my tears as I bawled,” she wrote next to a selfie of herself and her bestie.

The pair of friends also shared videos to social media from the event, including one of the newlyweds entering the reception to Bruno Mars’s “Marry You” and a clip of the couple during their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s song, “Perfect.” According to Us Weekly, the groom also shared a dance with his mom, Janet, to the song “Mama” with all of the groomsmen coming onto the dance floor to embrace the pair. The half siblings, Issac and Vivi, were spotted dancing to Christina Perri‘s “A Thousand Years.”

Meghan Markle's “Something Blue” Has the Sweetest Backstory

It seems impossible considering how much we all poured over the details of Meghan Markle’s wedding dress, but there was one thing we all missed in the Duchess of Sussex’s iconic wedding day look. In the upcoming HBO documentary series, Queen of the World, Meghan revealed that hid her “something blue” in plain sight during her big day.

In a sneak peak clip from the documentary, the Duchess, 47, revealed that she wore her “something blue” on her Claire Waight Keller wedding veil during the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor.

“Somewhere in here there’s a piece of — did you see, the piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside? It was my something blue,” Meghan says in the clip. “It’s the fabric from the dress I wore on our first date.” Swoon.

But the former actress’s “something blue” wasn’t the only unique secret in her wedding day look. In another clip from the upcoming series, Meghan revealed that her veil was also embroidered with 55 flowers. Out of those 55, 53 symbolized the countries within the Commonwealth. The final two flowers were Wintersweet, a flower that grows near the couple’s Nottingham cottage, and California poppy that served as a nod to her home state. Stalks of wheat were also embroidered into the veil to symbolize love and charity.

“It was important for me, especially now being a part of the Royal family, to have all 53 of the Commonwealth countries incorporated, and I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well for my now-husband, who didn’t know,” Meghan said in a video posted by the Royal Family Twitter account on Sunday, September 23.

As for Prince Harry’s reaction? He loved it. Apparently, the Duke was “over the moon to find out that I would make this choice for our day together.”

Meghan added in the clip, “I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play and the work that we’re going to continue to do.”

People Think Heidi Klum Is Engaged Thanks to Her HUGE New Diamond Ring

no thumb

The surprise onstage proposal between director Glenn Weiss and his now-fiancée Jan Svendsen wasn’t the only nuptial news to come out of this week’s 2018 Emmy Awards show. After Heidi Klum’s red carpet appearance on the arm of boyfriend Tom Kaulitz, rumors began circulating that the supermodel was actually engaged—all due to the new diamond ring on her left ring finger.

The 45-year-old model was seen flashing a massive diamond ring both at the Emmy Awards and then again when she appeared on America’s Got Talent on Tuesday this week.

But although the beautiful bauble looks awfully like an engagement ring, Klum said that it’s simply just another accessory. “I don’t know why everyone keeps saying that. Everyone is asking me,” the AGT judge told People of the engagement rumors. “When you do what I do, you wear a lot of fashion. A lot of jewelry. I always look for something that goes with the outfit. So, I wear big rings.”

And sadly, that stunning ice on her finger isn’t even hers to keep. “There is nothing more to it than that. Tomorrow I have to give it back. Sad,” Klum said.

Even though she guaranteed she’s not planning on making another trip down the aisle anytime soon, Klum did have plenty of amazing things to say about her boyfriend, 29-year-old Tom Kaulitz . “He is the kindest, sweetest, most caring, loving person. I feel so lucky. I don’t know the last time I was this happy in my life,” she said. “He is absolutely wonderful. Maybe it is because he is German and we understand each other in a different way. But so far so good.”

Bachelor in Paradise's Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone Share Their Thoughts on a TV Wedding

no thumb

It hasn’t been long since Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone got engaged on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise, but the two reality stars are already making plans for the big day. And while they don’t have any official details nailed down, the two know that they want all of Bachelor Nation to witness their wedding. Pop the sparkling rosé!

“My life is shared publicly so [it’s] definitely going to be on the Instagram Stories,” Nielson told E! News in an interview. “As far as being televised, we’re not opposed to it.”

While the 29-year-old fitness coach was known for her supposed “villainous” role during Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor, the new bride says she wants to keep her wedding drama free.

“We just care about wine, food and music,” she shared. “We don’t want to worry about any details. I see so many of my friends who get married, and they’re so stressed out as brides and they don’t get to enjoy it. That certainly [is] not our plan.”

But even though the two are excited to start planning those fun aspects of their nuptials, Nielson and Randone are expecting to have a very long engagement. The couple has made plans to move to California permanently, and will choose a city in the golden state by November 1. But regardless of the length of their engagement, the two are certainly set on tying the knot—eventually, anyway.

“We’re 100 percent getting married, and we’re 100 percent making it happen,” Randone said. “I think as time goes on, we will have a better understanding of when and where that can take place.”

And so far, their engagement has been absolute bliss. “I think cloud nine isn’t high enough,” Nielson said. “To receive so much love in person and social media, and just the outpour of love and support for us…we’re just so grateful. It’s really heartwarming.”

“SURPRISE…, ” Simpson teased on Instagram, captioning a photo of her two children, Ace Knute, 5, and Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 6, holding two massive balloons.

Simpson added a second photo shortly after of her children standing in a sea of pink balloons. “This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” she wrote. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

Simpson and Johnson began dating in May 2010 and tied the knot three years later in July 2014. The two welcomed their daughter, Maxwell, in May 2012, and their son, Ace, in June 2013.

Last year, Simpson stated that she didn’t think she’d have a third child during a guest appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show. “I have two beautiful children, and I’m not having a third,” she said in May 2017. “They’re too cute,” she added of her little ones. “You can’t top that.”

Glenn Weiss Says There Was No Proposal Backup Plan If He Didn't Win That Emmy Award

no thumb

The Emmy Awards 2018 was filled with all the usual excitement of seeing who wins the gold and fawning over the stunning dresses on the red carpet, but there was one moment that totally stole the show. When producer and director Glenn Weiss got up on stage to accept the award for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for this year’s Academy Awards, he turned his acceptance speech into a wedding proposal, asking his girlfriend Jan Svendsen to marry him.

The visibly shocked celebrity audience and those of us watching at home clearly had no idea Weiss was about to pop the question—and neither did the new bride, who appeared to be truly surprised by the onstage proposal.

“I’m used to the camera cutting to me when he wins, because they usually do a cutaway. So I was thinking, ‘This is my moment,’ my three seconds or whatever. But that was unbelievable,” Sevendsen told Entertainment Tonight after the show. “I don’t really remember. I have to look at the tape, because I don’t even know what I did.”

“Oh, that’s so perfect!” Weiss proudly said the big moment. “I’ll tell you what: What blew my mind here was the reaction, the room reaction. Honest to God, when I thought of doing this—and in my head, I’m thinking, ‘They’re going to play me out. No one’s going to want me to be doing this.'” Excuse us, but this was all we ever wanted, Weiss!

The director continued, “And then I couldn’t even finish what I had planned, because everyone was on their feet, yelling and screaming, which was great! I’m so happy it went that way.”

In the moment though, Svendsen says she wasn’t even aware of the crowd’s cheers. “I didn’t see any of that!” she said. “I didn’t realize that people were standing and clapping. I literally just saw you. I’m walking to you. I don’t even know what anybody else was doing.”

And you can rest assured that the proposal wasn’t done on a whim. The director explained that he had been planning the surprise for weeks, perfecting his words to fit the show’s timing exactly. “I kept running it in my head and timing it with a watch, because I don’t want to be played off during the biggest moment of our lives,” he said. “So I keep trimming and trimming and taking stuff out, and I’m going, ‘God, please don’t play me off.’ And as the night’s going, I’m watching other people speak, the prompter, [thinking] OK, how much are they enforcing? What are they not? I’m kind of getting my head there. I’ve got to cut it. I still cut some stuff out. I don’t even know what made it and what didn’t.”

But what if Weiss didn’t win that Emmy? “There was no plan B; our life is a plan A!” he said. “And whatever happens is where it happened. So it happened to happen on the stage. It could’ve happened somewhere else. You never know!”

Hailey Baldwin Says She and Justin Bieber Aren't Married “Yet,” Despite Rumors

no thumb

Last week, reports surfaced that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were spotted at New York City’s marriage bureau, and naturally, fans came to the logical conclusion that they pair was making it official, tying the knot in a low-key civil ceremony. However, the bride took to Twitter in an attempt to set the record straight.

“I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” the 21-year-old model wrote in a now-deleted tweet. According to TMZ, Baldwin and Bieber were seen leaving the courthouse last week with a marriage license. Reportedly, Baldwin was in tears and, according to an eyewitness, Bieber told her, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby.” The pop star also apparently told the officiant, “Thanks for keeping it on the DL.” Hmm… It certainly sounds like they tied the knot to us. So, what’s the deal here?

A source close to the model told People that Baldwin “feels a civil ceremony and their ‘real’ wedding are two separate things,” explaining that a religious ceremony is just around the corner. “What happened at the courthouse is a courthouse thing—a legal thing. But marriage is two people making a vow before God and the people they love.”

According to the source, Baldwin and Bieber are planning on having a second, larger ceremony with family and friends following their alleged courthouse nuptials. “They’re going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love,” said the insider.

The bride previously told The Cut that she dreams of having a whimsical, woodland-inspired wedding. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” Baldwin said. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”

In addition to her plans for the venue, the bride knows who will make up her wedding party. “My sister will be my bridesmaid. I was hers last year. And maybe Justin’s little sister as a flower girl,” she mused.

Baldwin also added that despite her young age, she is ready for the next chapter.

“I see no reason to wait,” she said. “When you know it’s right, it’s right.”

DWTS Pro Jenna Johnson Has Picked Out Her Wedding Dress

Dancing With The Stars pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are getting closer and closer to their big day, and the two have finally shared that they have a few details of their upcoming nuptials already planned.

The couple, who are currently preparing to compete against each other on Dancing With the Stars season 27, are also preparing for their wedding. Initially, the couple told Us Weekly that they had hardly anything planned, but it seems that the two have started to pull together some details.

“No, I think we have a day, and I have my dress,” she said. “That’s about it. It’s stressful, though. Weddings are a lot!”

As stressful as wedding planning is, the couple says they’re just trying to enjoy the process. “It’s a blast,” Chmerkovskiy told Us.

“It’s such a fun chapter of our lives together, and I feel like we’re growing with one another, and I love that we’re back together doing the show,” Johnson added. “This the first time that we’re going head-to-head together … He gives me lots of inspiration, and I’m so grateful to have him by my side through all of this. I think I could go crazy without him during the season.”

And as any bride and groom knows, the budget can get tight while trying to create an inclusive guest list. Sadly, the couple says that their probably not going to be able to have all of their family and friends attend the big day. “I’m just calling friends and telling them that they’re not getting invited and that it’s not personal … trying to decrease the budget for this wedding as much as possible,” the groom-to-be joked. “All jokes aside, obviously, some of my friends will be invited.”

“Veterans Day is one of our favorite holidays because it allows us to thank active-duty members and veterans, along with their families, for all of their sacrifice on our behalf,” Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said in a statement. “[This event] allows us to offer a tangible ‘thank you’ from our wedding community to these special couples.”

Each individual ceremony will take place on its own, where couples can choose from venues like grand resorts, country clubs, or chapels. Following the final ceremony, all of the newlyweds will celebrate their nuptials in a massive group reception.

The organization enlisted the help of 58 industry vendors in the Clark County area to provide everything from catering to decor for these special celebrations, and when added up, the vendor’s services are valued at almost $70,000. Multiple officiants are offering their services for the big day and dozens of makeup artists, hairstylists, and floral designers are also joining the cause to give these couples the weddings they deserve. Some of the vendors will include Vegas Weddings, Chapel of Flowers, Sundance Helicopters, Little Vegas Chapel, Graceland Wedding Chapel, Sugar Factory and Chocolate Lounge, Machine Guns Vegas, Emerald at Queensridge and more. You can find the entire list of vendors here.

The event is now taking submissions here, and must be received before September 26.

Here's What Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's Royal Wedding Invitations Look Like

no thumb

Check your mailboxes! The invitations for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s October royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle have reportedly gone out. And like the royal wedding invitations that have been sent before them, they’re unsurprisingly regal.

On Sunday, the Daily Mail stated that the bride and groom have sent out their nearly 850 wedding invitations, which reportedly went to recipients like George and Amal Clooney, Victoria Beckham, and Ellie Goulding. Vanity Fair published a first look at the wedding invites (see them here!), and they feature swirling black calligraphy on off-white card stock. “His Royal Highness The Duke of York, KG and Sarah, Duchess of York request the pleasure of the company of,” the invite reads, leaving a space for the invited guest’s name, “at the Marriage of their daughter Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York with Mr. Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Friday 12th October, 2018 at 11 a.m. followed by a Reception at Windsor Castle.”

In addition to the rumored 850 A-list guests who scored those gorgeous, cream-colored invites, a whopping 1,200 members of the public will be chosen by lottery to witness the processional and recessional of the newlyweds from the castle grounds.

With a guest list a mile long, a source from the palace reports that the couple is slightly worried that everyone won’t fit in the space. After all, this is one of the biggest weddings ever to take place in St. George’s Chapel and they apparently have invited 200 more guests than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did for their May 19 royal wedding. “The couple is hoping that not everyone who has been invited will accept, because there will be a space issue, and we might have to have some people standing,” said the source.

In our opinion though, you’d have to be crazy to RSVP “no” to this wedding!

Everything We Know About the Two (Yes, Two) Bachelor in Paradise Engagement Rings

no thumb

It was a busy night for Bachelor Nation. Not one, but two couples got engaged on last night’s finale of everyone’s favorite summertime guilty pleasure. And as excited as we were to see the proposals unfold, it was the stunning diamond engagement rings that we were really clamoring to see.

First, on the beach in Mexico, Jenna Cooper and Jordan Kimball solidified their feelings when Kimball popped the question. “You’re the one person who could inspire me to open my heart again,” Cooper told the male model. “I love you so much and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

After sharing a passionate kiss, Kimball revealed a ring box and got down on one knee. “Jenna Cooper, I’m madly in love with you, will you marry me?” he asked, before revealing a gorgeous cushion-cut diamond ring (Neil Lane, naturally).

Of course, the gigantic center diamond wasn’t the only stone on this stunning sparkler. Surrounding the sizable cushion-cut diamond was a halo of smaller pavé diamonds, which also wrapped around the entirety of the band.

“She said that she wants something eclectic,” Kimball said of the glittering bauble, as his new fiancée showed it off during an interview with E! News. “And that encompasses that totally.”

“Yeah, I love it,” Cooper agreed, staring lovingly at the sparkler.

The second engagement of the night took place between Krystal Nielson of Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor and Chris “The Goose” Randone from Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.

“You’ve helped me become a better version of myself, a better man,” Randone told Nielson during their beachfront proposal. “I want to give you my heart today, tomorrow and forever. I love you so much and I honestly cannot picture a life without you. You’re the woman I know I want to be with. Krystal Nicole Nielson, will you marry me?”

After excitedly accepting, Nielson exclaimed, “I’m going to be Mrs. Goose!”

Seen in Nielson’s Instagram above, Randone popped the question with a perfect platinum, two-carat diamond ring, handmade for the occasion. The eye-catching pear-shaped diamond shines bright, surrounded by 94 smaller round diamonds in a halo setting.

“Chris wanted something unique for Krystal because he feels that’s exactly who they are as a couple and who she is as a woman—unique, in the best possible way,” Neil Lane told People of the personalized design. “While pear-shaped diamonds are gaining in popularity and enjoying a resurgence from their mid-century heyday, they’re still fairly rare.”

Neil Lane, you’ve done it again!

These Grooms Dressed as Buzz and Woody at Their Magical Disney-Themed Wedding

When newlyweds Garrett and Jason decided to tie the knot, they knew they had to incorporate Disney into their wedding. But they went to infinity and beyond with their Disney-themed big day by dressing as Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear and Woody for the event and inviting all their guests to also don costumes.

Photographer Tiffany Brandt of Tiffany Brandt Photography captured all of the magical moments from Jason and Garrett’s wedding, from the costume-clad guests to the VHS-inspired centerpieces. Trust us, you’re going to want to see all these insane Disney details for yourself!

“We had both been fans of Disney and Disney parks growing up. Garrett would frequently visit his friends who worked in the park, while I was inspired by the artists and Imagineers who influenced me to pursue a career in graphic design,” Jason told PopSugar. “But it wasn’t until our first trip together to Disneyland that the love for Disney became more of an obsession.” So when the time came, choosing a wedding theme and guest attire was a no-brainer for the couple.

“We love Halloween, and we throw an elaborate themed party every year. We also enjoy Disneybounding and cosplay at Comic-Con,” Jason explained. “Family and friends must have thought we were crazy to have a costume wedding in the middle of August. But we were happily surprised that most all of our guests were really into it and dressed for the occasion, even our dog!”

He added, “Garrett wanted to dress as Buzz and Woody because ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ is one of his favorite Disney songs, and he has known for a long time he wanted that to be the song he danced to as his first dance. So, of course, I had to be Sheriff Woody. Both characters are reminiscent of each of our personalities.”

Whether you’re a real-life Cinderella or can’t get past the impracticality of glass slippers, no one can deny that this wedding is, well, magical!

Princess Eugenie Has Reportedly Hired This Celebrity Florist for Her Royal Wedding

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s October 12th wedding is just around the corner, and all the final details seem to be coming together. The first cousin of Prince Harry and Prince William has already picked her venue, St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, and will reportedly be inviting such guests as George and Amal Clooney and Ellie Goulding. Now, it looks like the bride and groom have also chosen their florist for the big day.

According to an article in The Times, the royal couple have reportedly enlisted London-based florist Rob van Helden to design and create the flower arrangements for their royal wedding. This isn’t van Helden’s first foray into the world of floral fêtes for the famous: He has previously worked with other celebs like Pierce Brosnan and Elton John.

While it is still unknown the exact flowers the couple will predominantly feature in their decor, we have a few clues as to what we might see on the big day. Like Meghan Markle and other royals before her, Princess Eugenie’s bouquet will likely include a sprig of myrtle—a tradition for royal brides for centuries. Her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, included myrtle in her famous S-shaped bouquet, along with gardenias, roses, and lilies of the valley.

And if Princess Eugenie decides to take further inspiration from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials, we might see a similar arrangement of white blooms and greenery covering St. George’s Chapel. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose white garden roses, foxgloves, and peonies, along with branches of beech, birch, and hornbeam for their floral arrangements at their May 19th wedding.

Royal wedding history has shown that a lot of couples have opted for this white and green color palette, so Eugenie may follow suit. In fact, van Helden’s Instagram page shows plenty of similarly stunning arrangements.

If he has been tapped for the royal wedding event, we can only imagine the gorgeousness he comes up with!

Dancing With the Stars's Cheryl Burke Has Picked Her Maid of Honor—Leah Remini!

Cheryl Burke is one step closer to walking down the aisle. The Dancing With the Stars alum has chosen her maid of honor: Leah Remini!

The 34-year-old bride-to-be took to Twitter on Sunday, September 9 to announce her selection, where she shared a photo of herself, Remini, and her fiancé, Boy Meets World star Matthew Lawrence. “She said yes! #maidofhonor,” Burke wrote beside the sweet snapshot. “So excited to have you be part of such a special time in our lives @LeahRemini!”

“We’ll be rooting for you at the #Emmys tonight,” Burke added. Remini’s latest project, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Informational Series or Special.

In August, Burke first revealed that Remini, who competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2013, would be in her wedding, and now it looks like the former King of Queens star has scored a bridal party promotion!

The bride-to-be also previously shared that her fellow DWTS alum Kym Johnson scored a bridesmaid slot, and Johnson has already proven that she’s taking her job very seriously, as she hosted a lavish engagement party for Burke and Lawrence in late July in Los Angeles. The groom’s Boy Meets World costar Ben Savage was sure to attend to show his support for the couple.

Lawrence popped the question to Burke on her 34th birthday in early May. “OMG! So far so good for 34! 💍#amilliontimesyes #imengaged#herecomesthebride,” Burke captioned a photo on Instagram, showing off her massive diamond engagement ring.

The couple has yet to announce a wedding date, but with “choose a maid of honor” now officially crossed off of this bride’s to-do list, hopefully the wedding isn’t too far off. “We definitely want to get married as soon as possible,” the couple told Us Weekly at the time of their engagement.
